A lovely one-shot! I agree, it's strange that they don't explore that possibility of Jeremy dying. I feel like you capture her feelings exactly as she would freak out if that had happened. Wonderful writing!

Very good job! Honestly your right try never really used Jeremy as the main target of Xana much, tho a few times they did. Like in the episode with the fake franz hopper.

This was amazing. I like how you take your time and paint a picture of what's going on, and of how Aelita feels during this whole ordeal. Had I not known about the overall plot from our PM's, you certainly would have had me convinced! Nice work!

Another thing I really like is that you provide a proper falling action. The climax is obvious, but then you take the time to let us wind down. It made me feel very satisfied with the whole story as a whole!

I usually don't try reading "angst" fiction, it really scares me, especially when it's about the death of a major character, but after reading the summary I had to know what actually happened here.
How is it possible that you managed to broke my heart and just after that, to give me all the happiness I was needing for?
This story has so many beautiful details it deserves to be discussed word by word.
I've never thought until now about the "what if" Jeremy had died. What it could have meant for Aelita. For everyone. We know he took a lot of risks. And the price he was willing to pay to save Aelita and the others, unmeasurable.
