Had a chuckle at the RHPS reference in this chapter, and totally heard Tim Curry's voice in my head when I read that line.

In canon Dumbledore did a lot more to undermine the power of the True Cloak of Invisibility. He wasn't just able to locate the Cloak. Alastemius Croody was able to see Harry gesture towards the Marauders' Map while hidden under the Cloak. There's no way Dumbledore would enable Moody to see through that Cloak without doing the same for himself. By spelling his glasses, for example. And it was only he, with the Elder Wand, who could have done anything to sabotage another Hallow. Neither Albus, nor Alastor, nor the manufacturer of Moody's eye, are more powerful that Death, who could not see through that Cloak.

Btw, after that attack they found Riddle's robes. But not his wand. Pettigrew had that in the fourth book. He may be sneaky, but break into the DMLE evidence room and steal the most infamous wand other than the Elder one, ever? IMO, that's beyond his marauder abilities. Besides that, they should have snapped that wand to prevent precisely that, that a death eater gets his hands on it, even only to use it as a cult relic. No, Pettigrew must have been nearby when Riddle attacked the Potters, and stole it before fleeing into the Sirius-infested night.

I am on more than my second readthrough, but since this is the time you explain the opcc&i thing, ;eft to wonder if it is only because you wanted to not have sirius and amelia make up or even more force the whole snape amelia side of things, but shouldn't amelia have thought to get checked for why she never tried to help in the preceding ten years? I am writing from just starting this chapter(18) again so maybe this is explained here or later since it's been a while since i previously read, but seems like maybe an organized omission to suit the needs of the story you wanted to tell, which no hate, love your stories just seems for all amelia bemoans her lost love before accepting snape as the consolation prize youd think maybe shed get herself checked out
