Good story in my opinion.

Oh yeah also the epilogue was confusing to read and the last few chapters was when it got really confusing.

Don't get why Lane's gender had to be changed in the first place. This fic started out simple and then it just got complicated for some reason. Pretty good and unique but some things still bother me. It feels like they gave up their humanity and gender almost immediately after they got turned. Why no resistance nor any coping mechanisms? I feel like Lane should of just gone back to being a guy again anyway.

This was an interesting story. Certainly a far different path from what I expected going in, mostly due to Korina. It's strange to see a character that's usually portrayed as a bubbly, giggly, free-spirit depicted as a despicable amoral villain.

Korina is undoubtedly one of the most detestable characters in a narrative that I've come across in a long time. I'd rank her right alongside Coil from the Worm franchise. I truly dislike her on a fundamental level... but that is what makes for a compelling and well-written villain.

There's an argument to be made that her viewpoint is justified-viewing humans as little more than insects and refusing to acknowledge their opinions in any meaningful capacity-but that does not excuse the threats, emotional manipulation, violation of bodily autonomy, and outright gaslighting that she subjects Lane to. (Nor is this view ever properly challenged or explained).

I know Lane eventually begins to care for her and sticks his neck out to save her... but I really didn't see enough development and justification in the narrative for it to feel like anything beyond changed-body-induced-brainwashing. The rare moments of bonding felt like carefully cultivated Stockholding and the major conflict between them is never properly resolved, leaving the ending reconciliation feeling unearned.

I did enjoy the original origin lore and the depiction of the Legendaries, though I'm dissatisfied that we never got a proper explanation for where humanity originated from and why Korina considered them to be less-than-sapient not-people.

Overall, I wouldn't put it on a list of my favorites reads, but it was well-written and engaging.

This was actually really good. I was not stew where it was going at first but your writing style is fantastic and easy to follow I think. I liked the dynamic with Korina; she was not right in the head and a bit sinister with her threats, yet weirdly motherly/sisterly and protective at the same time. Just wish there were a few more moments of affection between her and Lane.
Great job with this story.

I read the first few chapters back when you first started posting it, but kinda forgot about it. Stumbled back across the sequel on Monday and recognised some of it, rolled through that and plowed through any spoilers in my way, and just finished this instead of revising for my exam tomorrow.

Decent TF fics are hard to come by, especially ones as well written as this, and especially so for legendaries. You've done a brilliant job with world building, the characters, and the plot!

I'm incredibly tired and don't know what else to say, but you've absolutely smashed it and should be really proud of what you've written.
