It’s great to see you realeasing a new chapter and i still enjoy this version of Envy as well as a story with a more powerfull Subaru but where the power is one that can’t controll and is under Envy’s controll.

Well, time for me to re-read this as I have no idea what's happening. It's been too long for me to remember.

I love this story, especially for the fact that Envy is a character with whom Subaru interact, talks with and she responds. She isn't some one arc plot device, force of nature or lovecraftian entity which does her things without caring about the rest of the world.

Also, one thing I personally would like to see (it's your fanfic after all, I'm just saying my thoughts) is Subaru telling the truth. This would be very powerful move (beside just everyone freaking out because of Satella herself, the drama that Beako was deceived, then regaining her trust, Rem don't knowing what to think, Emilia feeling jealous, Roswaal thinking "that's my boy!")

Oh, and I have a question. What is happening with "normal" Satella? I mean, when Envy is active then I understand she is like locked "inside" without ability to act, but for example now, after Envy was exorcised from Subaru's body? Is the Witch still strong enough to overpower her? It's just weird for me that she isn't near him now (maybe, I don't know, Beako have blocked her somehow).

This was absolutely worth the wait. You still got it, man. Thank you for reminding me why I got into writing a Re:Zero longfic.

Great chapter. Really. Solid all-around. I really felt the Meili stuff, especially since she's one of my favorite characters. It was a constant tug-of-war where it seemed like she would be okay, and then you ripped it away from us. At least it seems like she's now in the mansion. Is she underground so the mabeasts don't come to her? Some other room with magic protection against people smelling mana? Man, that spell would be useful for Subaru, but it might also remove one of the downsides to his contract with Satella.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to what you do with Meili. I've read about her torture at the hands of Capella, and it's just...Pls let Dadbaru be a good dad thx
Maybe there could be a cute moment where he sews her a doll. That would absolutely make her feel welcome, you know? She needs a lot of hugs and head pats.
By the way, you're not there yet, but in mine, Beako gets jealous of the attention Subaru gives Meili and dubs her "the purple thing."

Envy's characterization is interesting. In canon, she's more of a creature of instinct or a force of nature. Here, she's a yandere, yeah, but a deeply insecure one. She seems to have some memories of Subaru that are tying her to him, and his rejection of her stings like crazy. I can imagine her thinking of a confession of his - something where he says he loves her, and only her. Now he's all "Rem Rem Rem Emilia Rem Emilia," and it's driving her NUTS. Even when he DOES feel love for her, it's to her non-Witch side.
You made me feel bad for a villain, even after all the ridiculously creepy shit she did. Congrats. You crafted an incomprehensible monster that has entirely understandable emotions.

Anyway, it seems like you're slowly starting to let Subaru have SOME feelings for Satella, but I respect that he won't lead her on. He's (understandably) afraid of her, yet he won't take the easy way out. Sure, he got angry at her, but this isn't a normal relationship. This is the WITCH OF ENVY, and she's about to kill his friends.
...It's still crazy to see Subaru talk smack to Satan and get away with it.

I saw what that other guy said, but I honestly like how you handled Rem. A lot of her flaws in canon were taken away, replaced with only low self-esteem and PTSD (the latter isn't a flaw, but how she acts on it is). Here, you're really diving deep into her character, and it's interesting. She feels like a character instead of , and I love it.

I could write an essay about why Emilia is adorable, but I'll just say that you handled her really well. Don't think I didn't notice how you sent her away before Subaru could call out for Satella. I don't know if there are any ulterior motives with some backstory connection between the two, but it definitely keeps her out of the way of this conflict until she needs to know. It kind of reminds me of canon, where she never actually sees Petelgeuse in his green-haired body.

I'll have to reread it, but I don't think we saw normal Satella, so I'll just say that I look forward to her next appearance.

I didn't expect a mana fruit to make me go on a mini feels trip, but that was still neat. It really caught me off guard.

Betty is the best, in fact. She's calm, collected, badass, and adorable, I suppose. Her confrontation at the end is getting me excited. I'm curious to see if you'll be doing what you did before and have Satella take over or if you're going to have Subaru worm his way out of this. I noticed a distinct lack of Satella's presence when he woke up (I was kinda hoping that hand was hers) so maybe she's out of commission, or something like that.
