Reviews for THE WARLORD-A Thin Veneer: The Knife's Edge
Carycomic chapter 3 . 6/10
It's a shame that hatred of mutual enemies is a stronger unifier than love and friendship. :-(
Carycomic chapter 2 . 6/10
In light of your other stories, I have to wonder if it was Trelane's parents who kept the Shadows and Vorlons from traversing the Rim (rather than fight in the Sinhindrea War)!
SpartanCommander chapter 3 . 5/24
You know this suddenly occured to me but with the different earths and such and that some ancient race deemed the Human race was so important that they deemed to actually make full and completed duplications of the entire solar system and history All the the point where it's nearly impossible for anyone to truly tell which is the origional. It does make for a question the Alliance may wonder. What exactly was so important that this powerful race capable of so much to the point they intimidated the Volrons. What was so important to go through all that effort to insure Humanity couldn't to extinct. That might be something the Earth alliance might raise for a question internally.

Another thing is with the Telepath group I can picture while they dislike the situation still it does present opportuniites for them such as to learn ways on how to control their powers more or in ways they didn't think of. With aliens and even several similar to humans and some with more powerful abilities it does raise questions. I can picture if someone showed that betazoids sex drive quadruples when reaching a certain age that might be a bit of a surprise especially when they start researching more into them. Although I could picture they might have to send against out ones without the heavy indoctrination mostly to see and observe these other telepathic races anyway. If anything they might find surprising things to learn such as mental techniques and exercises that would help sharpen certain aspects of their powers.
Inquisitor0 chapter 3 . 4/21
Wonder if there will be changelings being found from these tests. About this time, the Cardassians are expanding&will be going to invade Bajor. With the knowledge of the Cardassians betraying the Alpha Quadrant to the Dominion, Starfleet might consider protecting Bajor since they'll know that Bajor has a stable wormhole to the Gamma Quadrant.
Agent-G chapter 3 . 4/10
I thought you cancelled this story with no explanation and now it's back again without an explanation? While I'm glad to finally see it back I hadn't noticed it until today. I mean five years and only three chapters? You got to admit that's less than George RR Martin levels of output.

I mean this story was started nearly 20 years ago and I do worry it will never be complete as you'll just disappear one day like so many other writers on this site do.

Still, I started reading this story over a decade ago and it was one of the first stories I read on this site. I do hope you actually can finish it at some point without something insane like one chapter per year or longer. I don't know how long you all have to work on these or what the process is but I do one day hope to see the end of this story.

I do feel that the biggest weakness of this story (other than its updates) is the lack of character interactions between ST and B5 characters. Even in the spin-off I find it strange that the interactions are rare as we don't get to see much in the way of each side experiencing each other. You get it sometimes like with the trip to Earth, that interview with Spock's father but it's rare. A lot of the interactions are a bit...clinical if that makes sense.

We never really get into the deep personal stuff that we've seen on both shows. I also think sending Delenn away was a mistake in the story as she was always a great character and just writing her off being kidnapped never to be seen again I felt was a disservice for the character and a waste of potential story. She started the war basically by voting for it so she should have been there to see it to the end and to help end it to complete her character arc but now that can't happen now.
Armiture chapter 3 . 4/7
Good, they are now aware of the threat of the "bluegills" and will be moving to remove them from the Federation, the Klingon Empire and probably warn the Romulans about them too. After all, the Romulans will refuse to be the tools of another race, even if they wish the same thing.

Thanks for the update.
LeightonWD chapter 3 . 4/4
Brilliant chapter. I can see Kirks smirk.
MalSer chapter 3 . 4/3
Nice to see the potential Imperexi threat being taken seriously in TOS timeframe. Dare I hope that it leads to ANOTHER story/spinoff after ATV?
Just a Crazy-Man chapter 2 . 4/2
Sorry late I miss
Chronus1326 chapter 2 . 4/2
Great chapter, thank you!
SpartanCommander chapter 2 . 3/29
I still love this series so much. I'm looking forward to the next chapter or part of the series. Am curious as to what's next or what the Volrons will do for revenge. Moslty due to technically the Volron's are still in a cold war with Star Fleet.

That and also the factions inside Star Fleet. if anything their grounds for dismissing Kirk is flimsy at best because it's something the Enemy is calling Kirk. the same thing can happen to anyone.
c-wolf chapter 2 . 3/19
I'm glad to see another chapter. I've been patiently looking back on occasion
Miriani chapter 2 . 3/18
I love the Minbari’s horror in just how blase Kirk is about running into races aeons old.
Armiture chapter 2 . 3/18
Here's hoping Kirk's plan once again works out.
readerofgoodfanfiction chapter 1 . 3/18
