Time for Harry and Hermione to get serious with their education and get turos. What about a country not friendly with Britain or Voldy's foces? America and ask for asylem?

Well, this seems to be a bit different than what most authors write, but a lot of it is tedious and irrelevant. The few true actions are quite worthwhile, but the rest is poor.

I really like how you wrote characters in a very close-to-canon way. Especially Dumbledore.

There are, of course, things I slightly disagree with occasionally, but that doesn't really matter to me. This is good, and thank you for writing it.

This is the first "Harry leaves the country" story that legitimately doesn't feel motivated by spite at all.

You have a very good point there. Fanon intruded on canon for me because it would have been in-character.

(Also, I know it's very possible for a child to cook - I enjoyed doing it a lot when I was very young despite not ever being required to.)

i've actually enjoyed this read more than i thought I would. I thought the POV focus of Hermione would be a draw back but it really hasn't made much of a difference. its a bit of a slowburn but I like the world building/story set up so far. really this is good. im glad you didn't rely on Dobby, I mean, Dobby wouldn't have been someone Hermione would think of using at this point in time much less Harry. Dobby would have made things a lot more convenient and easier earlier on in the story. keep up the good work.
