![]() ![]() ![]() This was an amazing and absolutely wonderful story. Your take on the characters was brilliantly thought out and the plot so captivating. Thank you so much for sharing this with us! |
![]() ![]() Es ist so falsch das Robb statt Jon König ist. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Their is so much to like about this story but I absolutely hate Jon Snows story in this. Theirs a difference between book Jon and TV Jon. Book Jon wanted things, he wanted to be more then just a bastard, he wanted to be lord commander and he wanted to be lord of winterfell, a line of internal diolouge said that their was nothing he wanted more then that. He was a good dude and loyal to his family but he was also a human that had wants and needs. He was much more politically minded then his TV counterpart but thats what made him so compelling of a character; he seemed real. This Jon same as his TV counterpart never wants anything he fine with his stupid little superman like moral compass thats just to hero on a Saturday morning cartoon to seem like a real person. You wasted the early parts of this story on Jons who am I journey with him coming to terms with his heritage only for it not to pay off at all because hes happy to play the part of a bastard while his own cousin steals his birthright. He is so utterly pathetic I bet at this point he will sentence himself to the penile colony that is the wall that way he never runs the risk of threatening Robb for stealing his birthright. At no point did him being a Targaryen come into play at all except for hushed conversations about people in the know saying not to tell anyone. Was just a huge let down and wish it didnt take 104 chapters of me waiting for something to happen with it. He gave rob his life; he gave Rob his ancestral family sword ans he took back the north for Robb and Robbs response was to imprison his aunt and steal his birthright himself while Jon like season 8 of game of thrones just repeated the words I dont want it a hundred thousand times |
![]() ![]() ![]() Interesting ideas but the inclusion of Ned surviving actually detracts from the story as he doesn’t evolve as a character or fill any roles that another character couldnt have stepped into and grown as a result leading to just another example of Stark wish fulfillment. It felt as if the Starks actions couldnt have negative consequences- Robb gains the loyalty of other kingdoms and experiences almost zero loyalty issues from any of them except the ones that beytrayed him in canon (Bolton Frey etc), nothing actually bad happens to Ned and Arya despite Neds mistakes as hand of the King, Robb sends Roose Bolton to the North but its okay because the Company of the Rose are coming and its okay bc the Chad Harkers are there to hold against and bleed half of Roose’s army and its okay that catelyn stark is kidnapped by the Bolton bc Roose wont hurt her bc hes afraid of the Starks and Ramsay would nevvveeerrr disobey Roose and the Crannog SEALS can get her out. The Boltons didnt even strike a devastating blow (Red wedding) against Robb and loyal lords before they switched sides, Roose Bolton for some reason has faith in Tywin’s (who had been losing the war) scheme as soon as he hears it from some random messenger, the Starks have the most amount of support in their history and Roose decides its a great idea to go rogue. You clearly have your favorite characters (STARKS) and its okay to focus on them, but to have literally every single antagonist gargle the Starks balls when speaking about them is excessive and makes me wonder why anyone thought they had a chance against them, I also don’t understand the defense of Arthur Dayne, it serves zero purpose to the story that your legendary Sword of Morning wasn’t involved in holding down Lyanna Stark for Rhaegar, he’s such a great guy so he didnt help in the SA he just decided to nearly kill the SA victims brother when said brother was trying to rescue her. You couldn’t even make Ned a Stoneheart-like figure when resurrecting him, he’s just the same exact guy he was before. This fic has potential but needs trimming and editing. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Eddard was smuggled out of kings landing. Like what true purpose does keeping him alive serve |
![]() ![]() ![]() The reach lords respecting Robb just for being a stark is wacky imo, very little interaction between the regions, different religion, negative northern stereotypes, etc should mean that Robb should have to fight tooth and nail for some respect let alone kingship over the region. Also inventing the western northern fleet and slightly rewriting Theon (to a stark hype man) just so Robb’s disastrous decision to send Theon to the Iron Islands and leave the North undefended don’t bite him in the ass seems kinda cheap. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I’m just realizing, with how far in we are. Are there even white walkers and the others in this story…? |
![]() ![]() ![]() Bruh so all the reachman that just a second a go had Victarian completely surrounded just watch Mace (aka their lord) die without stopping Victarian? Not one random soldier screamed and charged him before he got the killing blow…? |
![]() ![]() ![]() The end of this chapter made me wonder what the other lanisters are up to. And then I was like huh we have barely seen any Jaime Lannister this story…? And then I started giggling, like “ohhhh yeahhhhh, he’s been in the Riverrun dungeons the ENTIREEE TIME” lmaoooo |
![]() ![]() ![]() I don’t understand how they didn’t know the dormish were there… Like does Robb’s army not have scouts? Did they not here about the 10,000 men who went across half of westeros to link ip with Tywin. Or do you think you could just hide 10,000 men in rhe bushes while all of them are on the probably weeks long march out to the actual location of battle… |
![]() ![]() ![]() Finally, I finished reading this story. Here is my review of the full story. I greatly enjoyed the story; it is really good. Easily among the best asoiaf fanfics I have read. As Robb and Margaery are my favourite characters, I loved their pairing. Them becoming King and Queen on Iron Throne in the end was the icing on the cake. I am also glad they named their son Torrhen instead of the rather common Eddard. And Eddard Stark living and the company of the rose storylines were amazing. The characterization, the POVs of various characters was done really well. The story actually felt a little boring in the beginning for some reason, however it quickly picked pace and became more interesting. I really liked how you had both main characters Robb and Jon had their moments to shine throughout the story. I liked how Jon chose his Stark side instead of Targaryen. Even your take on Rhaegar/Lyanna also felt pretty accurate imo. The battle scenes were mostly written well, I enjoyed reading them a lot. Except for the battle of Harrenhal, that battle in particular felt like a forced and illogical imo. It felt like it happened only to increase the length of the story. But all other battles were done much better. However, one thing I did not like was the special treatment for Dorne which IMO did not make any sense. The Dornish in the story have caused more losses to Robb than Lannisters. Even in the end, the Dornish were not only let off easy but also rewarded with autonomous rule. I know you said that your decisions were to set things for the sequel but still I feel annoyed seeing them get away like that. There are a few other things also that I did not like in the story. But most of them are minor issues and not a big deal. And to conclude I would say again, this is one of the best stories I have read in the fandom. I can’t wait to start reading the sequel. Cheers, Volonius |
