Reminded of this story, on this site, by a post on Sufficient Velocity. Forgot it was originally 3 chapters in "My Random Fiction Bits and Pieces", called "Vista haz a nuff".
Still awesome an hilarious. We need more bad ass Vista stories. Hope to see the fall out and the "meetings" that would follow this. Just imagine the responses on PHO.

lovely one-shot. Vista really read like she had fucking enough of these people.

I was expecting the first paragraph to basically be Vista saying "fuck it" and the rest of this to be her wacky adventures as a pretty much unstoppable force of nature who's finally shed her chains. Her just going around the world having fun and screwing with people in a somewhat helpful way.

That would have been much better than 20k words just to give the girl with access to space and the sun a large taser. I mean she can see the sky and select the distance, kinda hard to argue with a portal to space opening under your feet.
What you got her to do is barely scratching the surface of what she could do by 'thinking with portals'. Hell her viewing trick means she has full time access to the ocean and can just drop any annoyances in the water, at a distance of her choosing, if she wants to go non lethal.

This sounded cool and your other stories are awesome so this was a serious let down :(

Yeah, I can see that kind of thing happening. Vista is fucking TERRIFYING when it comes down to raw power.

I must say, I figured it was either the lens, or a simple 'say hello to the outer ionosphere' link. I did not think about this particular party trick.

Also, the bit of the Wards talking about how irregular and wrong Brockton Bay's situation? Especially with Carlos losing his temper like that was great stuff.

So she shorted out the atmosphere, and that was only one potential, she could void them by dumping them in open space, she could solar blast them hole from star to target, she could even black hole them.

“Missy why have you been trying to find the exact location of a black hole?”

Against endbringers behemoth would get burns as he earths it even while avsorving the energy, leviathan is sea water or salt water, highly conductive so grounded again, simugh it airborne so hard to hit needing twice as much work but can be made into a fuse , portal a is to ground so as close to it as she can, portal b has to be opposite side of simugh and where her lightning bomb main bit is, for best results pass shock through brain and heart, or as the endbringers use slime anatomy of sorts their cores.

I want that other story! Also, if she ever tries to compact the space between molecules, we're talking instant fusion bomb.

holy shit. yeah. shaker nope. u leave lil vista alone. would love to see a follow up. slaughter house 9 next? levi? shadow stalkers reaction maybe? the conversation between the rest of the wards including what gallant seen when missy said that shit about one day you will see what i can do. this was an awesome short.

re-read this story. it remains one of my all time favorites of how Vista can munchkin up her powers.

I just want to say that is bloody brilliant, and I am totally going to steal that idea for a possible story of mine.
