so I'm doing a reread of this since I love it and something that just occurred to me: since his blaster gas is free why don't his own troops use the yellow stuff?

Hi, Koss! I'm not sure why I haven't been following this story as I've been following "...Chance at a New Life" since 2019. I'm not a SW nerd (except for kind of the 1st three movies, but that's cuz I saw them when they 1st came out. Yep, I'm one of the ones who stayed in the theater all day and watched the 1st one like 4 times in a row! Lol!)
Anyhoo, even tho I'm not a big fan of SW 1,2, & 3 OR 7, 8, & 9 :P, I'm very much enjoying this story: I'm really hoping you're going to divert Anakin *away* from the dark side? It was the main turn off for me of 12&3: I am a woman of Faith and I cannot find any enjoyment or interest in seeing anyone, but especially a child, being misled and tricked into choosing the side of evil! It was too painful for me to watch.
I'm also not really into "harem" fics, but you're handling it tastefully.
Believe it or not (as I told you on my recent review of "Chance"), even tho I Beta/co-write HPff, I *not* a "Harry Potter" or JKR fan. Like at all! I can only say THANK YOU to you and other FF writers for writing AUs for the stories that really needed someone to turn the original writer's works into something I can REALLY enjoy!

Way good story, comes off as an info dump at times but written well so I don’t mind. Can’t wait for next chapter if it’s coming,

oh! and Harry showing his animagus form off to hedwig/flying with her (btw, with his cooling wards and such wouldn't his compound/quarters be comfortable to her- at least to visit/meet his partners? mainly I want hedwigPA fussing at Harry for dangerous stunts. oh and what about the waterfall/forest/cliff property on Naboo that Harry bought? has he built it up yet? and wouldn't Hedwig like it there?)

also Harry's animagus is worshipped as a god, but how much does it look like a giant, winged, alternate colored, Mythosaur to mandalorians? either way, I still can see any mandalorians that end up under Harry's banner choosing to create an iconography for their armors based on the head of Harry's animagus form

this is an excellent story, and I have really been enjoying the way Harry's influence and power base have grown. I am really looking forward to Ahsoka being brought into the main plot.

I actually like your ship naming (the long droid designations could get annoying, but they've been rarely used, and mostly as an exception/example before giving a chosen name or a role. Margo/ MR-GO, I kept wanting to read as Mr. Go, will hopefully be repaired/make a return. I actually really liked him.

also, I actually like the President of the Commerce Guild, too, and I kind of hope she'll end up getting brought around to partnering with HPI/will come to appreciate PA's view on economics. (Speaking of PA's view on economics, I have a mental image of PA teaching courses on her viewpoint on economics via PAMs at the University city on Tatooine and actually teaching/training Business Majors into managers for different aspects of HPI, but perhaps more importantly setting up "Angel investments" for them such that they start up new businesses and companies that Also follow her philosophies and start spreading it to the wider galaxy). Anyways, as it seems things are going to progress toward HPI taking a position of armed/enforced neutrality (and thus technically a third party in the future conflict) I just thought that having one of the major powers seeing the benefit to that position and wanting to join it would be interesting and further piss of Sidious.

I also think it would be interesting for Madalore/Satine/the New Madalorians to want to join said neutral faction, and through it reach a better outcome and middle ground for their people- not just because I like the Mandalorians and dislike what both Legends and Disney canon do with them, but also, and somewhat more-so because of two factors: One, I want to see how all the slow, subtle, build-up and foreshadowing about them will turn out- Obi-wan's reminiscing about Satine, the fact that Harry decoured the mind and skills of a mandalorian and thus knows Mando'a, mandalorian combat methods and culture, the finding of another source of Beskar, the creation of Mythkar, heck, even the way Harry dealt with the Tusken Raiders shows a good potential example of what Harry could do to/with the Death Watch once they manage to become his problem. plus defeating Pre Visla and getting declared the Mandalore would be just his luck. then there is the Bo-Katan Kryze angle where-in she might be another potential harem member. And there is Jango Fett's sister, that he thinks is dead/doesn't know about, that Death Watch brainwashed and eventually sold into slavery that HPI could rescue, and whom might be able to butterfly effect some changes to Jango/Boba Fett's futures. This all being aspect/ways Mandalorians can come up, especially as their arc in the clone wars was significant for a number of key people, and because Harry caused Maul's defeat and Maul in canon takes over Death Watch but in this Maul may hate Harry more than Obi-wan and as such may try to drag harry in there.

with geonosis being so close (and likely under a lot of covert surveillance), will Harry/HPI be involved in the battle there?

also, the zygerrians and their slave empire as a target at some point.

so much more good stuff to look forward towards.

I thoroughly enjoy this story so far but was definitely saddened that it hadn't been updated in roughly a year. Hope it isn't dead and we get something of a continuance.

NEW CHAPTERS SOON

I just re-read the last few chapters of this, and wow! Still a great story just like before. I got a twinge though. The new Excalibur ships are good planetary defenses against the usual spaceship attacks, and Avalon is both uncharted and uninhabited (except by machies) anyway. But Tatooine is exposed, so what happens if some version of the Empire manages to build the Death Star and use its super laser on Tatooine? Those events are some decades away, but still, either some new kind of defenses will be needed, or there will be a major story development if and when that beam hits ;).

The other big SW fic that I've been reading ("First Contact" by Inwardtransience on AO3) hasn't updated in a while either, so I guess I'm off to look for further stories. Wish me luck!
