I love Steph and Ranger stories and this was great! I think my favorite was all the little hints and encouragement Ranger gave her without ever blatantly saying something and making her feel pressured or like an ultimatum was in play.

Absolutely perfect. I love that Ranger and Steph were finally in the right place at the same time. And that Steph finally came to the conclusion about Joe separately from her feelings for Ranger. Although they contributed to her knowing Joe was not right for her, even if she'd never met Ranger, she would have been miserable living a "respectable 'Burg life" and I think she'd have been one of the drinking, unhappy women like she often encounters in her job. So glad she woke up and found her courage. And that Ranger gave her the right answers.
