Forget my little complaint about the previous chapter. A story in which Harry truly avenges his parents by killing the Death Eater piece of shit who is responsible for destroying his happy childhood by telling Voldy the Prophecy, deserves a place along my favourites.

Jesus H Roosevelt Chrst, I loathe Dumbles (who just told Snape why killing Hermione's parents would benefit The Greater Good) right now! I loathe him with the loathing I normally reserve for any and all child molesters, any and all rapists, any and all sexual harassers, the two men who molested me as a twelve year old, the man who sent me a pornographic email eaerly in 1997, the money men at the firm I worked for until I was laid off on 31 October last year because they thought my layoff would save them and their company oodles of money and the HR man and my line manager who told me on 18 August last year that I was to be laid off on 31 October.

That vow of Snape's wasn't worth the breath he used to make it. Not only did it allow him to treat Harry like shit in every way possible as long as he didn't kill him but it let him stand by while others did the same. Further, it didn't prevent him from allowing others to attempt to kill him including Dumbledore's attempt at murder by proxy w/ the whole "going willing to his death at Voldemort's hands." master plan. The only time he actively intervened was Quirrelmort's attempt in book one and even that's questionable as it still seemed it was Harry who kept himself on the broom until Hermione set Quirrelmort on fire.
