The way Velka complained about not being able to be honest with her feelings makes me feel like she got tsundere traits lol. You think Kaylen would be happy if she dropped a typical tsundere line?

Lol, I don't know but the image of Velka being all pouty like that feels adorable.

Velka showing her prideful and angry nature was good in my opinion. Realistically could have chosen a better place where they had less of an audience but I guess that wasn't really an option then but I kinda liked her opening up like that.

Being in a tug of war between two goddesses while probably getting a good feel of their curves too. Not sure if I should call it heaven or hell but feeling jelly all the same.

Was kinda weird for Kaylen to go along with everything considering it feels like he tends to do the opposite but glad that he isnt letting his own temper make things worse for him.

Kinda surprised the Duke left the two alone but seems to be the same god thinking a human isn't going to be able to so much so makes sense.

I think the scene between Kaylen and Gwynevere was very nice. Didn't feel too forced since it seemed to be the result of alot of feelings that have been kept inside finally starting to come out. Got a soft spot for scenes like this where a person admits they are trying to look for something real. Mostly due to SNAFU, ever seen it? But yeah scene was very sweet and I greatly enjoyed seeing another side of Gwynevere aside from the typical arrogant side. Really felt like the start of a genuine bond starting to form. Romance or not.

Although it does make it hard on which waifu to cheer for now. Before Velka was in the slight lead now I want to see more scenes like this between the two and not sure which girl I want to see more. Its a Velka romance story!? I thought the pairing was still in the air with how you write Gwynevere sometimes!

Shit while I assumed the bandits/mercenaries had some powerful backing I didn't expect a Blade to be involved. Are we watching the beginning of events that lead to the fall of Anor Londo? Feeling excited for the next chapter to see how things go.

so... its been quite a long time since the last chapter came out, had to re-read the last one. I enjoyed seeing velka unabashedly be her firey self. Her and kaylen will just have some serious rough sex later on, and throughout their relationship.
Having gwynevere open up about how she feels, and about her insecurities was nice. Having kaylen and her have a real conversation without a power dynamic really pushed them together better. However, I'm going to assume you wrote that part over several sittings, because it was ridiculously repetitive. I mean, you truly were just repeating the same exact words every 3 or 4 paragraphs. You could have cut out about 200 words and the story would be the exact same. Thats my biggest gripe, i truly started skimming it just to get past all of the descriptions of her appearance in the firelight, or how her smile was so soft.
I feel bad for cieran. She just lost at least 3 of her blades, i bet she will be sad about that. Although you did set up a good way for kaylen to lay the smackdown on a rogue blade in front of gwnevere and save her.

Anyways, nice to see your back, and with what I think is your best chapter yet! I love to see this “vulnerable” side to Gwynevere, she just seems so… real? Authentic? Man, for a fictional character, I think she’s pretty damn realistic. Though I do wish our boy was a little more decisive, but, in the context of the story and who’s hes speaking too, kinda makes sense.

Anyways, anyways, I can’t wait for the next chapter! Keep up the amazing work!

So glad this is back... honestly, I didn't know I would enjoy a story like this until I started reading it, but man am I liking this. Especially like the push forwards you've done here, looking forward to seeing what you're cooking up with the traitor, and when/how Velka and Kaylen's convo will go!

Also... props to Kaylen. Don't know if the man is winging it or not, but he's doing a far better job of navigating all these pesky emotions than I think i could. Bah, annoying things.

ahhhhe sweet smell of jealousy is string here. And making gwynevere more Huaman" was definitely a great move because she seemed pretty shallow (as said in this chapter) before thecatfight and the heart to heart between her and Kaylen. Excited to see the next chapter!

I feel so much pity for Kaylen. He's like the chew toy in the middle of a tug of war between dogs, his human body should eventually break if they keep this up. I've long since forgotten what his original plans were that he needed all the poison and stuff for, I'm sure it was grand, but now it's all gone to the wayside. It's so joever for our boy.

It seems to me that the love interest has become Gywnevere oh ho ho. I certainly hope so I am so in love with the version of her I simply can’t get enough. She so fun to read

Great read in general, nice to finally see some proper exploration of everyone's characters of which we had very little of in game or lore.

Little nitpicky tidbit is that the bits of Kaylen bullying got repetitive by this point, and since Guinevere's character and mindset have been handily demonstrated beforehand, it's just gotten pointless seeing Kaylen bossed around.

Velka and Ornstein's interactions with him seem well thought out though, a nice balance of crack, human abuse and actual usage of Velka and Ornstein's positions of Goddess/Judge and Knight, I like the honor that Ornstein has.

Ah, nice. Some cannon fodder has been introduced, a pity they don't seem to understand what Flan is the God of. Oil and fire to be used against a God of Fire. Really?

These brigands sure are dumb, unless you've decided to make her would-be canon husband (after anor londo fell) decide to sell her and be in on their plan. In which case, they're still dumb. Gwyn will crush them like ants, any God would. Even the weakest of them is still at peak human everything just by default of being alive, without training they are above these brigands, Gwynevere might just hit them with a sun beam if they go through with this plan and Velka/Ciara's troops don't end them first.

Your story is good, I'm suspensing my disbelief despite the nerd raging in my mind. Please continue writing.

Kaylen may as well end himself now, save himself from the trouble. He is a slave in all but name and has no free will.

This "will they wont they" shit is all this story is going to be, isn't it? It's like rezero if the cast were all pacifists who never kill and the author had a blatant humiliation kink. Kaylen should just attempt to return by death at this point, there's no hope for him. Even Gael couldn't win freedom and he fought in the war as a slave of the Gods, Kaylen is getting hit with the constant "arggh I'm angry and punishing you. teeeheee just kidding ,have some flirting. argggh I'm angry and punishing you again. teehee I'm so quirky, have some more flirting" side show going on. Rinse and repeat that formula a couple times and you've got this story.

With how often they change their minds, I think every character in this story is mentally ill(or you can't make up your mind on whether you want the tone to be goofy or serious and you're unable to blend the two). Bipolar or something, gotta be. From "ooga booga angy" to "sensual dirty flirty" to "ooga booga cave man chest in with fists ooga booga" then back to "flirty hehe had a dream about em" then switching over to the gaslight princess and her pile of mental issues. It's no wonder that their family fell apart in canon, excited to see if you use the lore about Gwynevere and her funny habit of abandoning everyone in the story.

TLDR: Gwyndolin is the most likable character you've written, and he was in a single chapter so far. The rest are written like Americans who live the high life and our MC reads like a hotel employee too big for his britches. Can't wait to see what the equivalent of being hit with numerous fines and complaints from VIPs looks like.

alright lets get this show on the road! Cieran needs a good spanking and we have the perfect human for that! Kaylen needs to kearn about how he keeps getting used and possibly discarded by her. Time to give her a naughty punishment.
Gwynever needs to be put in her place too. The brattiness and controlling aspect needs to be tempered with a humans backlash. Maybe if he could put her in a place of weakness where she has to rely on him would help. If she got to experience what its like to be at the mercy of someone else and be nervous about what might happen to her would fix her attitude. His anger at being mentally controlled should be much much greater. she sees it as a joke, but thats because she isnt the one being toyed with.
Velka is perfect in this chapter. I like her reactions, and how she deals with kaylen. She hasnt had him directly challenge her authority to her face. this will he a good show for both of them.
As for those guys who will try to abduct the princess, its literally a perfect opportunity you have created to do the above mentioned things. Let gwynevear have her strength sealed and rely on kaylen to keep her safe. Have velka be weakened due to the artifact and have kaylen show off his killing ability towards those elite humans. It would be a goo journey chapter to have kaylen escort those two back to the castle while keeping them safe from constant threats. Then; once they get back cieran gets in deep shit because her blades were too busy going through the dukes castle instead of protecting gwynevear and she gets demoted to become kaylens personal maid for a while.
