I gotta admit, I really love reading Jiraiya's perspective. Sasuke/mc and Jiraiya are an honestly really fun duo that I've been enjoying!

Wait, something isn't right. Ch 23 ends with Sasuke falling through the sky. Ch 24 starts with him in Kusa being overhear talking to Jiraiya when Karin sneaks in. That's more than skipping a contract signing, that's skipping everything. I think you deleted a chapter.

So Neji is casually disclosing ANBU operations to Kabuto? Naruto being in ANBU is more than likely confidential and he should know that, with Kabuto and thus Danzo-Orochimaru having gotten their claws on him I guess he's a goner now.

I hope sasuke learns fuinjutsu, it sounds like an awesome skill to have!

This is definitely one of the better Naruto SI fics I've read. The MC is more interesting than most SI's, and your willingness to deviate from canon is great. Many fics always talk about how their future knowledge is useless due to the butterfly effect or some such, but your is one of the few that actually delivers on this.

I also really love the progression in this story. All the power-ups are slow, winding, and logical. They are a result of hard-working and small innovations that over time compound on each other. The experimentation with abilities is especially well done in this case. Most of the time so much time is devoted to expanding on the power system and training in fics, the MC quickly discovers some cheat or outlandish ability/loophole that is both immensly powerful and no one has ever thought of. This will probably be the case eventually here, but it will feel much more deserved.

On the negatives side, I dislike how much time is being devoted to training. There is a lot, and I mean a lot of training here. There is also surprisingly little conflict. Despite not following canon, everything just kinda... works out too well. There is only 1 or 2 real fights in this fic where the MC was fighting in a non-spar or non-staged match. There is very little danger and actual enemy action. The closest we get is Orochimaru and that one time things go wrong on his C-Rank mission, and both of those had little to no build-up. Having the moment Sasuke is finally jumped by Orochimaru be during a random scene in the forest where he doesn't even get any screen time is just... meh. Most plot-points I initially thought would blow up in his face or add tension—like Kabuto being on the team, Orochimaru's plan, Danzo, Sasuke wanting to defect, etc—never actually amount to anything. I mean, when the MC finally decides to go his own way and leave the village he does so by just talking it out with Jiraiya. Like, what? I know they'll be consequences, and I'm not saying it's completely unrealistic, but it's just so anticlimatic.

That's about it. I do really thing this could be a great story if you just spice things up a little bit, cut down on on-screen spars and training, and give the villains a little more room to build tension.

Shikamaru can always improve while in academy; he doesn't need to up ahead and grad in order to get a handle in his skills.

I have one doubt: Why konoha (saindaime) is letting Kabuto get closer/manipulate Neji? Why the sandaime will leave him to Danzo/root, when he showed concern for the future of Neji and forbid Danzo to aprouch him and sasuke.

The thing is, I don't think sasuke realizes how much work goes into becoming a kage level or close, shinobi. A few years is nothing, to learn how to survive in the wild where anyone can get him.
