I devoured this series in a weeki have to know what happens next. Do you have plans to publish the next part soon? This series is quite possibly the most intriguing i’ve ever had the pleasure of reading, your HG annoys me a little but all the characters are so well written, developed and 3-dimensional that i can’t help but read on anyway. I hope HG matures soon. It’s refreshing that your characters are actually true to the ages they are meant to be, instead of overtly mature. So much growth with each new part. Genuinely can’t wait to see what happens next!

Corporal punishment was still going on when I was in school too. Some of my male classmates got the strap every day for "laziness" (but I think it was really learning disability. Dyslexia was the only type of LD that had been recognised in Victoria then, and only quite recently at that. But the boys in question were teenage tall, and it was only in our last term of primary school, when the teacher asked everyone their ages and intended high schools, that I realised they were two years older than the rest of us.)

I got the ruler once - blamed unjustly in first grade for the talking of the girl next to me. (I still don't forgive the teacher for that. It was far enough into the year that she should have known it couldn't possibly be rule-abiding little me.) But others suffered much worse: a classmate of my husband was permanently crippled in one hand due to a school punishment...

Snape "was a horrible potions teacher..." Depends what you mean by horrible. He was certainly unpleasant and unpopular (amongst Gryffindors, anyway - we don't ever hear what the other houses thought), but it's canon that he was good at instilling knowledge and skills. Even Umbridge admitted that

“Smart Harry”. Wants to be both a doctor and healer and yet the surprise that fingernails grow? It’s harder and harder to suspend belief and enjoy this fic. He’s almost painfully childish and spineless and seemingly lacks an iota of intelligence or critical thought.

It always feels this way when you reach the premature stopping point of a fanfic series, but this may legitimately be the most injurious feeling of sorrow and longing I've ever endured from finding myself left unable to conplete such a story. The doggedness with which I pursued any hint or whisper of update news (or indeed even evidence of your continued existence, thanks Covid era...) was nearly unmatched by any bit of independent research I've ever done in a non-professional capacity.

Phrased differently, I find myself keenly wounded by the cliffhanger we've been left on and I would humbly beseech you, oh author most mighty, to finish your great work for the sake of myself and the Perfectly Normal Nation.
