I've read this fick a couple of times already and I still love it every time. I just have a question (and you probably have been asked this numerous times), the blood magic that brings Harry back to Hogarths, doesn't it refur to "son"? So wouldn't it have send him back to any son of Arthur? In other words, couldn't it have send him to Charlie or even Bill?

Lucius-finger makes perfect sense to me.
I expect a single finger is dramatically easier to fully regrow with miscellaneous magics than the complexity of a whole hand- restoring actual flesh and bone, not a magical prosthesis. It also is something that is a lot more plausible to have more benign explanation if they used "normal" gealing magics to fix it and it was in any way detectable, say upon a healers' scan of some sort- it was just a knife therefore no residue of a spell, and "normal" healing methods, so who's to say there wasn't some unpleasant accident that severed it? A High Society Twit like Lucius wouldn't want there to be any hint of a mar on such visible skin, of course he'd go all out with a perfect, full, repair. Of course he wouldn't talk about it, if it doesn't benefit him some way like to sue someone. Wouldn't want to look bad, if it's partly due to his own incompetence at something - offensive implication to him but far less dangerous and still an effective explanation for why he hide it.

Also of note for this particular chapter- cheering for Headmistress Masterson! She and that whole line are Great!

this reminds me of a fic I read a long ago where Harry learns from the portraits and Bloody Baron as the education at Hogwarts is 2nd rate. Shame the fic was incomplete

You writers love to introduce anachronisms into your stories. The name Ebenezer didn't come into use until the 1600s at the earliest, after the King James translation of the Bible. Since Slytherin lived several hundred years before that it's not likely for him to have had a more modern name.
