![]() ![]() ![]() "- against the darkness, his father, his own grave and peaceful nature." I really like this. It is so specific. Anyone can suffer in this situation but these are precisely Faramir's problems. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Mablung is a fascinating character himself. Must have taken some guts to do this... |
![]() ![]() ![]() So beautiful! Thank you for writing...it’s my favourite chapter. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Mmmmmmmmarvelous! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh my! So grim a subject, but so well said. Thank you for the story. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh wow, this was brilliant! Old, I know, but I have not laughed and frowned so quickly in a story in a while. I feel sorry for the poor man who got lost... Faramir's actions did not remind me of the Faramir I know. He was younger then, I guess. I'll have to take a look at the next sections. Perhaps there is a happier ending there. Even if not, I enjoyed this quite a bit. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Just heartrending. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Boromir made me laugh. The question is, is being compared to Denethor at this stage a good or bad thing? |
![]() ![]() ![]() I love th way you show the Rangers of Ithilien- I feel so sorry for Faramir and that poor man he had to hang. Wonderful job! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Ahh, This is an original idea! Wonderful job, I just wish I had time to read more! |
![]() ![]() ![]() This was good. Very nicely written-you have a fine style. It also seems like just the sort of thing Denethor would do-put a man in Faramir's new command for the purpose of spying on his younger son. Thanks for writing and posting this. |
![]() ![]() ![]() So all this time his father has been spying on him, mistrusting his command? |
![]() ![]() ![]() Excellent story about the necessities, and costs, of leadership. Faramir is young, but already self-disciplined, smart, and willing to hold himself to the same high standards he expects the men of his new command to follow. |
![]() ![]() ![]() It's a very good read, but to me it sounds more like British Army than Gondorian Rangers. It's the tea that does it, I think, and the desk. An perhaps the shirt sleeves? |
![]() ![]() ![]() My lord, that was harrowing! Beautifully in character, and an unusual perspective on Faramir's leadership. |
