As much as it stings to excitedly plow through this behemoth of a gic series only to slam into the depressingly common wall of "indefinite hiatus" i freaking adored what you gave us, and really enjoyed how you wove in the vibes and elements from XCOM2. Also you kind of stopped at a really natural, imagination enflaming, point.

You take care of you and yours, who knows, maybe a bit of time away can help you get your writing mojo back, get into a writing “schedule” that lets you enjoy writing again and find that spark you had for this series when you started it. I’m sure most of us will love rereading this series as is from time to time, and if you should ever feel the spark and desire to come back, I don’t see many of us not being excited for more. This story series has definitely been a joy to read for me

While I’m sad to hear the end of REMCOM as someone who has followed pretty much all through out remnant unknown (came in at the last 4-5 chapters in 1) but dropped off towards the end of that due to life I’m happy to hear of everything you’ve done and while not exactly an amazing end point, considering you have done all of this up till now for free!? Well let me just say I’m sure there are few who would’ve gone on this long.
I hope to see something in the future but for now I may hop back into the discord and just chill. It’s been a blast!

At any rate... as sad as I am that WotM's isn't going to be continued for the time being, I do get where you're coming from. It has to be said, there are worse reasons for leaving a story behind because you feel like you've created something amazing that would have been the climax for other stories and everything since then has been... filler by comparison (even if I would disagree with that).

Whitley thinks that he is hot shot but it is obvious that family have to push him in right direction.

Harriet ego is about to take a beating when she see what X-Com can do. It would be funny if she discovered weirder and weirder things and each contact with Ironwood would end with "I knew already" or "I dont care".

Good luck with your life it is understandable and it is not like you leave us on big cliffhanger so it is not painful.

It's a bummer that the details to REMCOM's eventual victory will remain unknown for at least some time, but your health is important and I'm sure most of the REMCOM community will absolutely understand. Hope you're able to return someday, but if no, it's been an excellent journey. Take care.

Your daughter is more important and at the end of the day fanfiction is something written as a passion project, that you want to write is a critical part of it. Still I hope to see this story again in the future, the crossover was different, well-written and enjoyable. I wouldn’t mind even if it takes years to make a return. Though I’m grateful that you wrote till we were at least at a part were the story arcs were transitioning, it would have been a bit more saddening(?) if the story had stopped in the middle of the court case.
