Interesting variation. Having living parents made Darcy an unburdened, less prideful person which I think helped in his pursuit of Elizabeth. He was still able to learn about estate management, but at his own pace.

Excellent epilogue! I've always preferred endings which summarize what happens in the future, rather than just stopping short once everything is resolved.

Mr Bennet seems to come across as a thoughtless person! It didn't scare Fitzwilliam away! Most men would have left and not come back! Maybe that is what Bennet is hoping?

Oh boy! The Bennet's for the summer! In "canon" Pride and Prejudice, Miss Lizzie is ridiculously loyal to a family that is barely civil to her, and each other, for that matter!

I do think Elizabeth is overreacting a bit, but it's totally understandable with those crazy pregnancy hormones. Pretty impressive that it took that long for them to have their "first argument" and the did great at resolving it and putting their relationship first over hurt feelings.
