The Grynne chapter 4 . 8/18/2003
A great ending that ties up all the loose ends and yet still leaves us itching for future developments. I'm much more comfortable thinking of the Patrician as being invulnerable to afflictions of the heart. But while Vetinari as you write him does tend towards the romantic at times, there is enough political scheming in his relationship with Hanna to satisfy me.
Raindrops on Roses chapter 4 . 8/17/2003
Wow. This was an absolutely fantastic story. It shows the reader another side of Vetinari, while still keeping him in character. And the writing is so sensuous; I feel like I'm in the room with them. Except not. 'Cause that would be voyeurism. ;-)

I love your stories, and I'm adding you to my "Favorite Authors" list.

Merrymoll chapter 3 . 8/6/2003
Oh my. I had to go and have a cigarette out in my back garden (it's SUNNY and WARM in Scotland right now. 'Tis a miracle!), in order to calm down. That was so exciting, and yet so subtle...

The descriptions were not at all graphic, yet conjured up all sorts of vivd images. And the tension beforehand; I hope Hannah gets away with, ahem, "blackmailing" Vetinari like that. Or has he already got his own back? Hm...

You have a rare talent. I can't wait to see what happens next!
Jurious chapter 3 . 7/31/2003
WOW... *speechless*

You're a great writer! You're story's erotic, but it's subtle, and leaves plenty to the imagination (which I believe is a good thing...0_o); too many writers just aren't subtle about such sensual situations anymore in all manners of fanfic. I like subtlety - something about it is more impressive, especially when it has an effect on the reader (AKA, peeps like yours truly). I liked it very much. _

I'm fairly new to the 'Discworld' books, but there's something about the Patrician already that I find...'intriguing' _~ I still have a long way to go before I've read all the books, but I always know when I'm going to like a character.

What else can I ramble about...? Hmm...I don't know! Just great stuff, I guess! Well done.

Merrymoll chapter 2 . 7/25/2003
*GASP...*

That was one of the most subtle yet mind blowing things I've ever read. All that suspense, both before and after we discover it's the Patrician, then THAT music lesson... Genius! "An experiment in Osmosis..." how very Vetinari! You've really caught him in this chapter, doing someting that's extremely erotic whilst maintaining his calm demeanor. Oh, my...

The mere thought of being written upon makes me feel all shivery. You really got into Hanna's mind here. Just waiting to be tickled is far, far worse than actually being tickled. And as for Vetinari scolding her for squirming - I think he knows damn well how hard that would be!

Fantastic. Must have more! I can't wait to see where you're taking this!
the Death of Mayflies chapter 2 . 7/15/2003
Well... That was nice, too. Vetinari as a mixture of John Malcovich's Viscount from Dangerous Liasons and Ewan McGregor (wasn't it?) in that My Human Pillow (or something) film. Who would have thought?

Your writing is impeccable, but I find this chapter slightly less interesting now that I know that it's Vetinari who is the Client. Before, you had me guessing all over the place - the Librarian? Leonard? - but even so your story is so good that I will certainly want to know what happens next!
the Death of Mayflies chapter 1 . 7/15/2003
Wow! It's all too rare for me to find a story that keeps me interested, but this certainly has!

Your style is nice, your Patrician flawless, you had me guessing wildly from the very beginning who Hanna was going to see AND I've learnt a thing or two about origamy. Lovely! Oh, and I thought the throwaway lines about the new history book were fabulous, too. I'll move straight on to chapter two, now...
TheCheeseman chapter 2 . 7/4/2003
This is one of the most interesting fics I've read about Vetinari for a long time. Do continue.
achenar chapter 2 . 7/1/2003
Though I'm vaguely inclined to think of the Patrician as a smelly old man - it's a mental block of sorts - and I'm against original character fics in general... I really like this. Need more. Now. Please? _
acrophobic chapter 1 . 6/27/2003
I've got shivers. Good story. I thought Fate was male, though.
Divine-Fayth chapter 2 . 6/27/2003
Good story, it's certainly, well, interesting. I love the way you write Vetinari, he's completely in character. All those things like making someone eat peaches or drink egg nogg, or teaching them to sight-read, they all seem so... Vetinari-ish. Hanna is a great character too! I'll be looking out for the next update.
Ysabet chapter 2 . 6/25/2003
Holy jumping Judas Iscariot on a pogo-stick; that was one of the... uh... do you know, I can't think of a word to describe this chapter? Other than 'intriguing', I guess, and that's inadequate (and other things starting with 'in'). So *where* will you be posting chapter 3? Hm? Argh! The whole music bit was almost shocking in the vividness of it; I don't think I've been so entertained since reading samvimes' last chapter of the Lady Margolotta sequel...

WRITE. Please!
Cadnobach chapter 2 . 6/25/2003
Another good chapter, well written and very well thought out. A good lead up, and now a can hardly wait to find out what it is a lead up to :o)

Please update soon.

Cadi.
Ysabet chapter 1 . 6/20/2003
I think my eyes just bugged out. I really LIKE this one- please continue! Write fast! Good, subtle piece of my favorite kind: a fic that makes me *think.* And laugh, of course; that's important. But the thinking is rarer.

(and I nearly choked to death when I hit the comment about 'starting the engines' in the first bit; lovely!)
The Grynne chapter 1 . 6/20/2003
I'm supposing that they get up to rather more than the eating of stoned fruit? Scintillating indeed. I can't wait...
