That assault on him seems random when I read this, it comes out of nowhere. I can understand the princess wanting to show off and perhaps see just what kind of person Harry Potter is, but this just seems strange.

I happen to think canon Ron would have been better off in some ways not being close to Harry, he went from moaning about not being noticed because of his older brothers to experiencing not being noticed because he stood next to Harry. And the methods that “fate” used to peel him away were not that great, bonked by a giant chess piece, nearly crushed by falling rocks, dragged off with a broken leg by a giant Grim - it’s like the world was telling him he was just in the way.

Are Harry's lie powers not working or does Diana genuinely think her father has been unjustly accused? At 13 wouldnt she know the truth?

Friends enemies or allies, I'm sure he'll make some of all three.

Your Harry seems entirely irrational. How is he more suspicious of Dumbledore than Voldemort? His "descent" is wholly unconvincing. He's oddly fine with his parents' murderer. I feel like the characterization went abruptly off the rails this chapter.

I was hoping for a longer chapter. Got all settled in and everthing. Looking forwards to the next one though!
