I really enjoyed this one shot! I think Luna as a character is great with Harry and the way you have written both of them suggests they will work out wonderfully as a couple. I like that Luna is fun, quirky, and smart, without the old tropes of her being either a seer or bizarrely unfathomable.

But I wonder about the tension between Ron and Hermione. Whether in canon or in most fanfic, I've never thought that couple could form a healthy long term romantic/married relationship...he's too shallow, jealous, lazy, and unappreciative of Hermione's gifts except when they are of immediate help for him (he criticises her for being studious but insists she help him do his school work, for instance). This story captures the tempestuousness of a hormone-driven late-teenage/early-twenties romance between Ron and Hermione well, but you did a great job of laying the groundwork for one or both of them someday waking up to realize a marriage has disaster written all over it. I suppose what I wish is that this was the start of a multi-chapter story leading to an eventual HPLLHG. But that is not a criticism of this wonderful one shot.

Brilliant!

I am of the opinion that Luna in FF is frequently entertaining, but less commonly written well. I believe that this Luna is both, but I would be surprised if you didn't do a good job as I enjoy how you write your characters. Andi and Teddy's scene was hysterical, in an "it's funny because it's not my 5 year old calling an adult an idiot" kind of hysterical. Besides Harry was being an idiot.

This was delightful, sir. Right away the image of Luna in muggle London wearing a business suit and crossing traffic was just *chefs kiss* too funny xD also to find out later that Hermione had dressed her was gorgeous. Hermione in general was hilarious in the story (no surprises that she had such a big role) the freaking dossier she made for Harry and how Harry was reporting back to her about the museum. I particular liked this line:

"She'd put down her chopsticks and given him her full attention. Time to make up some more bullshit."

It was just peak Harry and Hermione. As for Luna, she was done very well. I liked that she was a bit sly with the magical creature story and at the end with her convincing Harry to stay. You honestly adore to see our man, Harry, getting laid. All the side characters and scenes really added to the charm of the story. That's always been your biggest strength in my opinion. Your characters and how well you keep them in character while also creating divergences that make perfect sense.

I loved the chapter, but I think Luna and Harry should have gone to the Natural History museum, I would like to have seen her opinion on dinosaurs and other extinct animals, particularly from the Ice Age.

Petri, I feel so fucking validated right now. I've said time and time again that of everyone I knew, you'd be one of the perfect people to write Luna, and write her well. And I'm so freaking glad you bit the bullet and gave her a shot.

This had me laughing or smiling goofily all throughout the story. I adored the endless tidbits of your own personality and how you often speak, but what most drew me in was how, as always, you managed to make them so canon-like and yet just different enough to be 'yours'. I could 'see' you smiling as you wrote certain passages, and that made it all the more enjoyable for me.

If there's one thing few to no people ever do with Luna is that they never make her feel natural in how she fits with Harry. It always looks forced, like 'meant to be', nearly shoe-horned in. Not with you. She's spontaneous, hilarious, sweet and caring, and at the same time, she's both grounded and whimsical in equal proportions.

This was, as I said before, the best and worst of any great one-shot. It makes me fall in love with it so much that I can't help but want more of the world, and yet, it's just that. A One-shot.
