![]() ![]() ![]() I'm absolutely loving this so far. You've done a really good job with both Legolas and Gimli's points of view, even if I occasionally want to shake them both but that only means you're doing a good job! |
![]() ![]() ![]() This was excellently written, I love the way you did Elves. Definitely one of the best stories I have read. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Awesome chapter. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Great beginning! |
![]() ![]() ![]() The more I read this story the more I love it! You made a good job at writing it! Bravo! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I think the best thing I can say for this is, in the years since I first read this, I just internalized it as canon. I stumbled back upon this fic and it took me far too long to realize exactly what I was reading. Like, especially I was convinced Legolas blinding himself in Lorien and singing to show the way was just canon. 'Yesterday I reminded Lord Gimli that I am an Elf. Today I must explain to you that I am not a Dwarf.' absolutely killed me |
![]() ![]() ![]() This was such an amazing story! Forgive me for reviewing only the end chapter, but I devoured this story in a single day and was near breathless by the time I had reached the end. I loved the way you portrayed the characters of Legolas and Ginli especially, and the dynamics between the two, and also between the rest of all the fellowship... The way you wrote the characters, I felt that I could really understand them as individual people, their thoughts, dreams, temptations, and what kind of people they were in general. I really felt that this story melded seamlessly with the original book while making the storyline a whole lot richer and full of emotion, and believable. The ending was really, really satisfying and I loved the way Legolas and Gimli told off the elves from Lothlorien towards the end. Way to go, guys! XD This story must have truly demanded a great amount of effort and time on your part, and you have my sincere thanks for writing such a remarkable story and sharing it (for free, at that!). Hannon le, hannon le! |
![]() ![]() Awesome story, I just wished it would have kept going to show more Legolas and Aragorn. |
![]() ![]() THRANDUILLION THRANDUILLION YOU CALLED HIM THRANDUILLION NOT GREENLEAF I LOVE YOU |
![]() ![]() Thank you for taking the time to write such a wonderful piece. Thoroughly enjoyed reading it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Well... consider me rendered... nearly speechless. I felt as though Tolkien's work (though it is nearly perfect, in my humble opinion, in just about every other way) glossed over how this friendship came to be far too quickly. Thank you for expanding on it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() A thoughtful imagining of elvish make-up. The first three dimensional characterization of Legolas I have read. Thank you for sharing. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Whenever I stumble across this scene in the books, I'm surprised because Legolas seems uncharacteristically petty in this one moment. Now, however, I now have some more context I can add to his behaviourthis might not be canon, but it feels like it is, so good job! :D |
![]() ![]() ![]() This was, to put it simply, amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed it, as I have found to be the case with some of your others works as well. You, dear author, are very gifted, and I look forward to reading more from you. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I am thoroughly enjoying this story. Thank you for the obvious time and effort you put into writing such a considerate and well-told tale. I truly look forward to reading the next 13 chapters! |
