Changing a lot of plot and characters to fit your "Targaryen's weren't that bad" narrative...

Well written work but for me the only negative would be Jon's out of no where power trip where he feels "he's had his throne taken from him." Very OOC of him to be acting like that.

You haven’t even described Mauls appearance once since he got the full body red and black tattoo so I’m just imagining the worst:

Literally no visible skin left, all bright red and black with sharp edges, he’ll probably shave his head too. He’ll stand out like neon green spandex man doing some wiggle dance at funeral.

Also, the pacing and how the story just leaps about randomly is rough. Speaking of leaping about apparently Maul can just teleport anywhere he wishes.

Not sure if I’ll keep reading, it’s hard to feel attached to any of the characters. The story just skips and bounces over them too quickly and Maul instead of being a Sith is an immature little Edgelord instead.

So Maul has just completely forgotten about Daenerys? He hasn’t even looked for any of his remaining family after setting out into the world. Something he should definitely do to either help or handle them as competition.

Wtf. A full body tattoo of red and black. How weird and retarded does he want to look. That may work in star wars with all the strange races but amongst only humans with some pretty standard skin tones and no bright edgy coloured designs he’s going to look like an absolutely psychotic moron.

Who the actual fuck would follow or listen someone who’s literally going to look like an inhuman demon. He’s literally making his goals permanently more difficult just to look more edgy and cool in 8 year old’s anime poster phase sort of way.

At most some red and black pinstripe tattoos that don’t fully cover his skin to the point it doesn’t even show anymore and especially not his face if he ever plans to interact with regular people in Westeros.

you have done a Maul as Jon Snow story, you have done a Jon Snow trained by Dooku story. is there a chance of a Jon Snow is/trained by Vader or a Jon Snow is/trained by Sidious story?

Hmm it's not my prior chapter review that's proving prophetic that kills the story for me. It's the essos part. The whole King's landing shit was already up my ass and now it's even more so with the essos stuff.

Again, I think the concept is really cool, but yeah... a more plausible approach would have been more appealing.

Now it just feels like: time skip, he's more awesome, timeskip emo rage empowered him!, timeskip he has become the ultimate emo edge Lord and declared war upon the kingdoms! Armies from all corners of the world will heed his edgy call! Becuz that's why! Fuck yeah! Yippee kayee! Bada boom Bada bing!

So yeah... That's kinda what I run into with this story. It glosses over the actual road to power and change for ever grander statements that are further fetched each time.

I like the overall concept. I just don't like the fact that the next place he is is the capital when that takes one huge as fuck journey.

That journey in itself is a story worth telling. And you skipped over it just like that. Similarly. It makes the story less believable. If he went to white harbour and hid there or perhaps one of the other nearby houses, or went to live in the wild but still the North, that would all be fairly believable.

But now? Now it causes a rather violent yank out of emmersion. I half expect him to get a double bladed staff weapon and paint darth mauls tattoos on his face to go full emo on the world.

Epic story, offering redemption for a fascinating Sith who got a pretty awful hand - the mix of Jon's virtues and Mauls strengths created a much more rounded and likeable hero than the canon rather wishy washy Jon - loved the story and loved that you gave a solid and satisfying ending - thanks for your work, I look forward to what you come up with next :)

A wonderful ending to this epic story.

Maul's legacy will be remembered throughout many generations to come in the future.
