One chapter in, and I can already tell this is going to be a fun one. Seems pretty lighthearted and goofy in tone, and I hope it maintains that for the most part.

Wait what. Does she know it's Harry Potter but hasn't read or watched any of it? She seems to randomly gain and loose knowledge about it. The whole obliviation by someone watching Harry is pretty blatantly obvious if she has knowledge, so this doesn't make any sense

I’ve always thought that the “you can’t enchant money” “magical law was one of two things: a fact of any money using society that they protect currency up the wazzoo (and did you notice a dollar bill goes through laundry a lot better than a random shopping list?) or, a side effect of magicals just like normals having beliefs about money and that leaks magic onto the physical. Probably both. And the wizards probably protect the local currency too because how better to break the statute of secrecy than by having a counterfeiting ring that cannot be found or explained short of the Muggle government going to war over it.

The canon first year for harry potter was 1991 to 1992 not 1990 to 1991
