I put aside this novel for a while and then I was reminded why just after picking it back up. You really have a problem using the correct written word for words that sound the same don't you? I've never understood how you can mix up which written word to use based on how they sound, hear isn't even close to the same meaning as here and most grammar checking programs pick up when you use the wrong one nowadays. So really the only excuses are either pure laziness or general bad education, and even that second one only goes so far with Google and a dictionary at your fingertips 24/7. You constantly use their for nearly every version of there/they're/their regardless of context, which isn't that bad and is sadly common with 'educated' Americans, but using hear for here or one of the many other times you've used an entirely unrelated word with similar phonetic structure is just ridiculous.

Just finished reading, was great, look forward to more.
One think thought to mention, made a comment on needing legal papers once, but earlier on gatcha got him psychic paper(?), that's what doctor used to trick anyone asking for identification

Wth... I was super invested in him and suddenly he is needed like that for plot?

Hey, choom… if you ever crash-land (somewhat 'again' barring the technical 'time travel') into the world of "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners" within the foreseeable future… then go look at the stories they’ve got written for the anime in 'Archive of Our Own' (if you haven’t already). The filters might take some getting used to… but the 'top stories' already being written there are rife with inspiration!

Just crossed my mind and wondered if you (and many other writers) would benefit more from reading all about the 'Inn Between the Worlds' and 'Portal Crossroad World' tropes… and other related tropes on their respective pages.
