love the way you write this it is one of the best fanfics I've read in a while

Caught up finally. Nothing much to add. Your characters are fabulous and comparatively your plot is shit. Better than many out there but when compared to your characters it's obviously a big weak point. Some other positives are a somewhat decently done romance arc and natural dialogue. Fic is definitely worth reading, but in a fast food sort of way. Good as long as you don't think too much into it and enjoy it as a lighthearted comedy in Harry Potter world.

Another repeat of foci problem here, you gave him big problems and then you let him solve all that in a single chapter without any effort. It's like building up for a big climax and right before the climax was about to come, turned out everything was a dream...so annoying. So many many missed opportunities in this fic. Honestly if not for West's personality, the fic is totally not worth it.

Okay I will concede. No matter how much I hate OP characters and a tension-less story, man you have such an amazing way of writing characters that damn I am still unable to close the fic. Man you are good at writing a cool character. I really loved the goldfish dialogue. Also liked the icy vault plot. Amazing stuff although that much just be since I love ice magic, still some challenge to West was good for this fic. Hoping to see more of this stuff.
Not to say there weren't things that I disliked, like how you handwaved the focus issue, by 'fixing it overnight' which honestly could have been done better. I honestly would love to see West struggle a bit more. But West is really a charming character and honestly the weakness of plot not withstanding I am just unable to stop reading. Seriously hope you put a bit more effort into the plot though. If the plot was a bit better planned, this fic could be such a gem. Still not bad, West is a really charming character. Props to you for that.

I really don't like how Op the protagonist is for his age. A little bit is fine, but with his current level, Hogwarts basically feels like an adult playing House. No challenge and hence it feels very plain.
Honestly if he was at the level of second year wizard that would be fine but currently he is just too OP.
And also although I like slow fics, but 20 chapters, canon hasn't even started and all we see is the protagonist doing a training marathon which was pretty boring. It feels like a one sided journal rather than a story.
I also disliked the wand repulsion. I don't get why so many people think that their MC doing everything wandlessly is somehow the coolest thing ever. It doesn't matter. Apart from one disarming spell doing wandless magic gives you nothing but bragging rights. Also pretty dumb idea that somehow wands prevent your development as a wandless user, considering how we know the greatest wandless magic users all use wands and strong ones at that. No logic how an external foci somehow caps your trained skill for him, even though Lily Dumbledore or Tom all were able to grow their skills despite using wands. Just makes me feel that you are writing some wish fulfillment fantasy instead of trying to write a genuine good work. You don't want him to use wands and so you forced this idea despite no logic supporting it.

Then there is the fact that our MC is somehow the greatest genius that ever was, a master of all trades, a prodigy beyond everything. Like why? He already has the gift of foresight. You could have made an intelligent MC who uses this knowledge to get edge and slowly and realistically gets stronger than his peers. That would have kept tension in the story and made it interesting instead of a self wanking fest.
I already was afraid about this when I read that he reincarnated as a 4 year old. The fact that he has a 7 year advantage and future knowledge over his peers really makes the entire story feel like a joke. I really wonder how you are going to create any tension in the story or the entire fic is just reading West cruising along facing little to no challenges, where somehow I will have to be pleased seeing this adult in child's body beating actual children. Such a waste considering you have rather good writing skills. If only you had more self control, and had made the guy less OP, this could have been a gem. Pity.
Anyway I will still try to read for a while more, owing to your decent grammar. Hoping to be positively surprised.
