I love how so many stories have these noble pure bloods saying things like it’s knowledge that can’t be learned in books and then say some basic ass thing that could definitely be learned from a book it’s just purposely kept away from muggleborns so they look like idiots. Are there some things purebloods could learn that can’t be written down? Definitely like how to hold a certain posture or how to use certain familial magics passed down or read micro expressions or something but most basic cultural information could definitely be in a book even if the required experience to go with the culture might take some time to get used to. Like say Samhain and Beltane information could be written down so basic facts would be known even if actually attending those cultural events would be more immersive.

Oh there was that time in second year that she brew a polyjuice. And planned exploding a cauldron in the middle of potion classroom so she could steal ingridients, later would kidnapp and impersonate 3 fellow students to interrogate another one. Kinda fucked up when put this way.

I was really happy to see notification of this story, I think that during its months of hiatus I ended up rereading it two or three times. So I'm really happy with your return.

About the chapter; It was quite light and served to show that Harry still has a lot to learn, luckily he will have Daphne and the Grengrasses as well as Sirius and Lupin to help him with that. The tension and nervousness in the air was also evident while the protections were not reformulated. Oh and not least, a gentle hint of romance. Daphne's looks are quite suggestive, I wonder how long she will deny that she is attracted to "Potter".

I'd say it's a bit worse than an abusive marriage... at least with those you can usually still decide to run off, but from what we can tell an elf 'has' to follow any direct order. Dobby could still prefer dying over putting his ears in the oven. It's also a pretty bland excuse because it's pretty unnatural for such creatures to exist without intervention given that they have such a hard dependency on slave bonds like that. Makes more sense for them to have been altered from some other life form or engineered from scratch. And you can definitely create some laws for it, sure in private you might be able to hide but if you're just going to slap your wife around in public (like lucius had been doing to dobby) you're not guaranteed to get off scot-free.

This was an interesting chapter even though there was nothing here for the action junkies. I like how logically her explanation was laid out.

always good to see this story updated. A nice, calm chapter to help build things in the story and somewhat further the relationships between the characters. also a good way to establish the role of the nobility, something that I am curious to see the role of in the story.

Hey... I was wondering if you know that you talked about a few things that happen in the books and not the movies? Like... Harry got his firebolt at Christmas in 3rd year, he played both the Gryff-Ravenclaw and the Gryff-Slytherin match on it. Also... in the books the dragon never actually takes off. It spreads it's wings, but Harry takes the opportunity to dive and snatch the egg. The chain doesn't break in the books.
