I like how Daphne is slowly but surely warming up to Harry, she is doing her best to help someone who was merely an acquaintance to her barely months ago, and she is low-key the only one worried enough to take care of him in his hour of need, I'm SO looking forward for more chapters! I like the premise of the story, but to be honest, the announcement that this won’t have a happy ending and that you like to go for bittersweet ones muted some of my interest. I’ll still read along, but it feels weird to read a story that I know won’t end well.

Just came across this story, I really like the slight change of how things could have been if Harry didn’t let himself just get mistreated by his friends and had someone else who showed him some mu to al respect. It’s cool to watch the ripple effect across the canon events and Harry’s personality. Really interested to see where this goes, hope you keep up with it. Thanks for writing!

I don't understand why your Hermione is so skittish. I mean this is the girl who went against harry to inform the headmistress about his new broom to make sure his safety. Why she's been so hesitant I don't understand here. But anyway really good story and I like the fact that Daphne has her own personality and issues rather than being a Hermione replacement. Building anticipation is part of good writing, but it is a little annoying for the reader. :) This chapter might be short but enough happened to make it satisfying (even though there is yet another question to be answered).

Mysteries popping up everywhere. Can't wait for more!
