Reviews for Danger First |

![]() ![]() ![]() This story is one-part crackfic and one-part shockingly thoughtful character analysis. IT's very intriguing and I wish there was more. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Ah, man. I'm a little disappointed this doesn't seem to be setting up for a Izuku x Toru romance. You go against the typical MHA fanfic tropes a lot already, hoping the ship would be more unique too. I'm still early in though so maybe egg on my face? Other than that, so far it's been a fun ride. I love how unique it is while not being word vomit. |
![]() ![]() ![]() You know there's one thing about AFO that I can see happening. I don't think he would be as bothered about Izuku having OFA since he's his son. In a sense it means that the quirk has come right back into the possession of his family. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I really luv how u wrote Kurogiri’s perspective |
![]() ![]() ![]() One of the most interesting and enjoyable fics I've read for quite some time. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Umm... there's a bit of an plot error in this chapter. You have Hisashi say, while talking about the USJ incident, that "All Might, the practical heroics teacher, hadn't even been there!" This is blatantly false. In this story, All Might was at the USJ at the very beginning. Shigaraki even tells Nomu to attack him as soon as they exit the warp gate. You might want to fix that somehow. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Love your characterization of doting father All for One, it's one of my favorite tropes but it never gets old. |
![]() ![]() ![]() All for One is a surprisingly good dad. Present in his sons life, supportive, protective, and willing to drop tasks at a moments notice to provide advice. Real shame he’s about as dense as his kid. And the closest thing to evil since sardines. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I just came across this but let me say, I’m loving it and I’m looking forward to when you post the next chapter. Keep up the good work! |
![]() ![]() ![]() It makes sense that AFO wouldn't recognize Danger Sense. Unlike every other past user of OFA, who chose to fight against AFO (a fight which usually ended up resulting in their death), Hikage hid himself away for 18 years, probably relying on Danger Sense to help him avoid attracting AFO's attention while he worked to build up OFA's strength. Having never fought Hikage, AFO would have no idea exactly what quirk the fourth user might have had. AFO had also better be careful about his son. What self-respecting, ambitious, promising, young villain would hesitate to stab their father in the back in order to usurp their place at the top, and Izuku may be showing a little too much promise. Meanwhile it's no wonder that the past users are never able to actually get anything done - it seems that they can't even agree upon a simple plan without splintering off into two or three side conversations. And all the while that poor eighth vestige can do nothing more than sit there and listen to it all (which is probably how Yagi ended up having such a restless night - even they should be able to tell the difference between "eight" and "nine"). |
![]() ![]() ![]() Cool chapter, and yeah, it's very inconvenient that the vestiges can't communicate with Izuku. Keep the good writing. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Christ that banter about hthe hero names from the vestiges had me cackling. Especially when vaulted ceilings featured |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh that Kurogiri thread is going to be interesting to tug on. |
![]() ![]() ![]() The idea that Class 1A just immediately adopted Hitoshi when they first meet, is hilarious to me. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I Do mean it gives nothing away and can represent an ending of the cycle |
