So, giving Ol Ros the benefit of the doubt, eh? I wouldn't. Given arc four, itd be waaaaay too much work to wrestle him into anything but a clown looking monkeys paw of an ally. There are better options.

At least this version of Return by Death really IS unstoppable, so I cant see Ros plot his way to any win condition.

This is definitely one of the best Re Zero fics I've seen. With more time to prep, but having to get everything right in one go, Subaru is having to get much more strategic than canon. Combine with his inability to form lasting human relationships, and he's believably turning into a master manipulator.

Don't worry, bro, we’ll wait for the chapter as long as it takes. I’m sure it’ll be worth it! I'm really curious about how challenging things will get with Roswaal. Will he become an ally, or will he be another obstacle preventing Subaru from living a peaceful life after he manages to save everyone? I bet that guy will be devastated when he realizes he can no longer follow his book’s script.
It’s still hard to wrap my head around Subaru’s situation, knowing he could lose literally years of progress in an instant. He would have to face all those struggles and make new connections all over again.
