Got to be honest this fic ain't have bad for SI stories but it's not great either. Daeron is less fleshed out, besides him being told that he was smart and all that. We don't see it, he's mentioned being smart and as a man from modern settings, he would have more knowledge like for example farming and improve the north than it should be but since he was 14 year old kid who didn't know much it's understandable.

But what really is telling is how Lyanna or should I say Visenya got kidnapped in the first place. She was shown consistently to be better with magic unless Daeron improved but her being captured can happen. Despite what people may think a single mistake on the battlefield or getting caught off guard for a single moment can cause you to die.

So her being kidnapped can happen, it's plausible, the battlefield is a dangerous place even for the most talented but the way you showed how she was captured is honestly just plain. For the amounts of reviews it gets for 75k words its good but it could be better.

Improvements such as actually fleshing out the world building for example and actually include politiking. This is fame of thrones, politiking is the name of the game. The problem is that it starts late, what SI Jon should have done is planned. He knows the white walkers are coming, he knows shit is going to happen. So he better find some way to strengthen it and actually form bonds with the Stark Family

As much as it may sound bad, remember the world is at stake. Priorities people, old grudges can wait. Other stories are better in the fact that Jon actually does something. In one story, he makes Stark horses which are bicycles and markets them and creates more products so the north could industrialise and improve, that is more than what an SI man should do and he does.

Strengthening the North is a sure idea because simply put Robert doesn't have an heirs, remember they're all bastards and such illegitimate once the truth comes out. Besides that I would also like to state that legitimacy is important but could easily be faked. Jofferey somehow manages to be on the throne despite him being a bastard, worse incest created bastard.

One reviewer stated that the laws of succession states that Jon and Lyanna are bastards since the marriage wasn't official. Problem is that it doesn't matter, Machiavelli thought applies best here. Legitimately since Lyanna and Rhaegar married despite not knowing, if Rickard stark had been alive. He would have approved simply because it's much better than Marrying Robert since he's just the heir to a lord paramount whilst the other is a crown prince.

Other than that since they both "married" and it was officiated by a septon. Its much more legitimate than Stannis as the Targaryens were supposed to always be in line first and if that doesn't convince you or the other lords then the dragons would. Simply put, the moment you have dragons, your legitimacy is without question. Power backed by claims of the throne is weak but backed by dragons, even if they are supposed to be "bastards", it wouldn't matter much. The dragons backed the claim. Having a dragon is like having a nuke in a medieval world, your of course going to be afraid of the one that push the red button and that is power which could enforce the claim as in real life legitimacy is a lie, it's all force and power. Whoever has the most power and uses it well, will always rule.

Besides that how can Jon and Lyanna hide the dragons? These are mythical beasts. A single sight and the cover is blown away. From what I understand the Gods Wood is just a tree, a big one but it won't hide the beasts growing. Then how can you explain how the guards, servants or anyone else didn't spot them. Then explain how they actually fed them because dragons are hungry creatures, they need meat. Unless Jon and Lyanna constantly hunted which was not mentioned or shown, I find the way the dragons growing without being noticed is a plot hole of itself since there's a lack of anything to explain it.

In bear island it makes sense since it's a large island and barely populated which means they can hunt and feats but in those early days, the lack of explanation is galling. Well id not mind the way the story goes, Jon having magic and Lyanna too but the way it is executed is simply not good. Too many times good stories fell because their execution was terrible, looking at you hunger games, the novels were great yet the show screwed it up. So in essence take this suggestion as a way to improve because a better, improved story is good for everyone and lower your patron costs because as it stands it's not that worth it. So unless you make it worth it like how the author of Nascent Kaleidoscope does it (1Million word story, fun to read), then it's not. Besides if you want to justify those prices then improve your writing. Hopefully this will serve as a sensible review in comparison to others.

I'm surprised he waited that long to finally use his magic on the bear. Also I feel he shouldn't hide his magic from Dacey. He could easily explain why he doesn't want people to know is because how Lady Stark feels about magic because of the views from the faith if the seven. If Cat knew he and his sister had magic she would become even worse to live with.

Also, why was Visenya all of a sudden a damsel in distress?! She beats her brother all the time and she has magic. She should have also been able to call one of the dragons. So many stupid plot holes just to have him meet his ancestors and family. Lame.
