"What do you mean?"

"Well… I was asking Ermion and he mentioned illusions by a sorcerer he knew that was so powerful he could even make a hidden illusionary world that he could go into and he could interact with the world like it was a real world." Ciri told him. At that, Harry felt himself stiffen and pay more attention to what Ciri was saying.

"Did he say or possibly give a hint on how to do so?" Harry asked quickly. Ciri frowned and looked up in thought.

"I'm not sure, exactly. I also think it depends if you use a focal point or not. It has something to do with layering, I believe."

"Layering… Layering, how?" Harry pushed but not too much, not wanting to sound impatient with his friend.

"Like… Layering the reality you create over the current reality? I don't know more than that though and it's kind of hard to explain. Ermion said it wasn't really his field of expertise so even he wasn't wholly sure on the specifics himself." Ciri admitted.

Druids like Ermion use their magic to intermingle with the worlds own magic to allow them to then influence the world around them. It is less taxing for things like making small storms or super windy, or conjuring lightning. That being said, he told me they have trouble using more complex spells that don't involve nature. I would recommend practicing with your own magic exclusively first before intermingling it with the world around you."

Anything at all that can't be explained? Ermion told me that usually, a higher trained magic user can sense magic in others and locate them for training, but if that isn't possible, they can figure out it out by seeing if the person has their magic manifesting in certain ways." Ciri explained to him.

"Oh okay, well… I once appeared on the roof of my school building instantly."

"…What?" Ciri asked looking at him strangely.

"Yeah… I wasn't sure how I got there but I was panicking because I was running away from my cousin who was trying to hurt me with his friends. One moment I was by the playground, the next I was on the roof, out of reach. I… I always just figured I must've jumped and had the wind catch me…" Harry said realizing as soon as he said it how ridiculous it sounded. Ciri looked at him with a blank look for a moment.

"…Anything else?"

Ron is good at alchemy? Whot? Alchemy is something you learn at the end of the school. It's very advanced subject. It just feels like everyone became super XXL genius suddenly when they met with mc. I mean hermione sure, she's good at theory, but this is still only first year. Even Hermione would at max be at second grade level or something. I mean where the heck did she find time to do all the studying in few months? Ultimately, they shouldn't really have any ability to do actual research. I mean Harry is genius with his mana talent, he can also work while sleeping, and he has years of head start. But his friends have none of that.
It's just but absurd.

Wow, Harry speaks in super annoying and unrealistic way. It's less of an speech, and more like someone wrote explanation of something in comments in response to someone. I write same way when I'm trying to break down something in writing and analyze it. But I have never ever heard anyone speak this way, it just comes off as being an total arrogant smartass.

Hi, I have raed all of your stories. And they are pretty good. specially "Blood Stained", " The Swallow And The Dragon" & "Let's Try This Again". I also love this story. Your writing in this story is the best work you have put out so far.
My only problem with this story so far is that it's pacing is too slow. I mean even after 250k words Harry still hasn't manage to go to Ciri's world and their relationship still hasn't passed the puppy love stage.

arrgghhh, I skipped ahead a bit but is chapter 34 and they're still only 12? that's just too many words for not enough forward progress for me.

I like the story so far, but I can't help but feel the way you have harry interact with magic is a bit silly. granted, I've always found the shouting of spells to feel a little silly. however, you have harry speaking out whole sentences as spells like he is giving coands to an AI or something. I get that he is just in the learning phase, so maybe how he interacts with magic will change? I'm just imagining him in some conflict down the line, it'd be pretty ridiculous if he had to speak out a whole paragraph of instructions for a 'spell'.
