The events of Arthurian legend take place in the 6th century, during which time in the British Isles, including Ireland, which was never part of the Roman Empire, Catholicism had been the dominant religion for almost 100 years, and in the case of Roman Britain for 200 years. and the office of the Holy Father and the Papacy were already fully formed, although their power was less than today, because these events took place before the Investiture Controversy, which took place in the 11th century and officially took away the monarchs' right to appoint bishops. Fun Fact: Artoria is one of the rare cases of a Heroic Spirit becoming WEAKER as a Heroic Spirit. While the likes of Gilgamesh keep almost all their power, Artoria is typically summoned with a deactivated Mana Core, lowered Physical Parameters, and lacking her strongest Noble Phantasm that if she has along with her Mana Core active, allows her to just straight up continuously spam full power Excaliburs, even on no Mana, while she has Avalon she managed to throw out four of them in a row. With full physical parameters, she is a match blow for blow with Heracles. With all three she is as strong if not stronger than Gilgamesh, the only method he has of posing a threat to her is to bring Ea out right off the bat.
Basically, still living Artoria Pendragon in her prime? OP as shit, Emiya would not last a second against her, even without Avalon.
Hell, Mordred got bodied at the Battle of Camlaan, only the curse that brought down her sword after death managed to catch Artoria off guard.

- why is the ledger important?
- what happened to the quest for the narnian relics?
- why is Arthur trying to prevent a war with the saxons when it's clear they are gaining ground everyday?
- why can't EMIYA, with his archer eyes, detect hansa?
- why is the saxon army trying to attack chlemend even though it's a fortified settlement with a combined roman legion and camelotian knight force occupying it?
