Gotta say I'm enjoying this one much more than the previous version. The MC actually acts clever and confidently instead of just projecting that as hard as he could with a smirk per minute. And no random alternate fantasy world that has nothing to do with the story - another big win.

Nice. Loved what you did with Issei. On the topic of the Boosted Gear, is it completely unusable, or can Kuro use a bit of its power? Because if he CAN use it a little, I have a suggestion.

There's a fic by flameclawsxx called "Dragon Ball: It's About Time" (also chapter 30 of his oneshot collection, which inspired it) where the MC winds up creating a variation of the Kaio-Ken, called the DxD Kaio-Ken. It's called that because the way it works reminded the MC of the Boosted Gear - instead of increasing the KK's multiplier, it stacks multiple KKs on top of each other. So a DxD x2 is two KKs stacked (for a x4 multiplier), while a x3 is three (for a x8). It ALSO had the benefit that the DxD is less straining than the equivalent KK.

So my suggestion is to do the reverse. Have the Boosted Gear, due to its weak connection, act like the Kaoi-Ken, with each Boost only increasing Kuro's overall strength by his base. So a single boost makes him twice as strong, two boosts triple his strength, three boosts quadruple it, etc. And as an additional consequence, have each boost put significantly more strain on Kuro than it normally should.

I like how you are rewriting this, and I’m especially glad that you are keeping the diverse and frankly beautiful sexy interactions the previous Kuro had with various women. As a matter of fact, I hope you go into more detail, and combinations/scenarios for him to get with said women or traps in the case of Gasper while scheming to enjoy a long, lazy lifetime.

If Raynare stays somewhat loyal to Azazel this could get real interesting. Seeing as he at some point gains all the other fragments of that particular dragon, Raynare swiping Absorption Line could make her somewhat valuable in the late game.
