Wow, it’s been a crazy ride. Reread the entirety of your books over the past few days and really appreciate your storytelling. It’s pretty good fella, one of the only reasons I still visit the site. Glad to hear you’re doing well.

Figured I might as well dump a few of my thoughts from my latest read all together here. Couldn’t remember my old guest name. Ozai’s gotta die and I want it to be Percy so bad, but I can never tell how you’re gonna let this play out as we approach the comet. Not that I see it coming anytime super soon, I want to see the Zuko redemption fleshed out as we know Percy will only intensify. But Ozai had best sleep with one eye open with his raggedy self.

My favorite chapter remains Azula Alone, can’t explain how well I felt that was put together. Though the whole invasion arc was so cathartic after all the torture you put my girl through. And now it seems she’s more unhinged than improved. Lowkey dreading the boiling rock because knowing you, I just have to be concerned for Azula’s frail mentality. Begging that at least someone won’t leave her.

I like Mai’s development the most. It’s felt really natural and a slow burn, realistic. Love it.

I think Sokka’s lost some of his silliness that we saw around the Serpent’s Pass which I feel needs to come back soon. Sure, he’s killed a dude, who hasn’t. But I want unfiltered Sokka.

Shame Perce wouldn’t kill the monster during the invasion. Pressing my buttons knowing I ain’t gonna leave. Your handling of his anger was well performed and I can’t find any fault in Percy’s mercy, given his Tartarus Time.

Sorta wanted Hakoda dead but whatever.

Ooh I’m now completely all for Percy and Azula. This time around really got me desperate for it, despite previously thinking Percy should stay single. But no they can’t not be together and I know you’ll oblige. Such a kind individual you are.

The girls are going to have a tough time getting rid of the guards and it sucks. Very clever you are, giving yourself time to prolong hiding Azula’s pain. At least it isn’t another cliffhanger.

I would elaborate more, but my device’s on low battery. Fear not, for I will not be afraid of keeping you in line if you go too far with breaking my Princess. I have no clue how you’ve managed to make me feel like this character means so much to me, probably childhood delusions and similar trauma, but she’s got to make it through. And I’m rambling again. Seriously have to get that checked out. Also Katara’s cool again I didn’t really like her in Ba Sing Se…. etc

Last update June 17. Today is June 26. I have just finished reading book 1. And have caught up to the latest chapter.1st, Everyone is well written and very in character which is surprising actually. 2nd the showcasing of powers makes sense and is realistic. The fact that I actually believe percy had ozai in the palm of his hand like he did misery is so believable that it's impressive that his mother and Annabeth are the only reason he feels like doing that was a betrayal of nit only his character, but the ultimate betrayal to them as the only he reason he couldn't was impressive. Lastly, the fact he was able to keep his status as a demigod hidden for this long. That's impressive because I feel like aang at least should've started suspecting he's more then a spirit with his interactions with his past lives. And then I remembered that's not till later when he's learning to remove firebending from ozai.

Hello, long time lurker, but made an account a while ago, so I thought I'd use it.
I really like how Ozai remains alive, seems like killing him now with Percy would be almost cheap, and there's a lot of plot and character development to go. However, Percy's thoughts don't really make sense to me when he stops himself from killing Ozai. If the only way Percy could imagine himself killing Ozai in this situation was drawn out and torturously, I can understand why he wouldn't, especially with it's similarities to Akhlys, but he seems to know he would be able to near instantly kill the man, so I don't understand why he hesitates. From what I can tell, he is all for Ozai's death, so killing him clearly isn't his hangup, and I don't really understand why using his blood to do the deed would be, as well as why he can't take a portion of his shelter and make it into a bullet or something (or like a mini spear, maybe) and kill him directly with it.
I really love both this and the first book, but in this one spot, I really think Ozai should've lived another way, such as maybe Percy's hesitation before choosing whether or not to bloodbend puts him into a forced retreat. It really seems like Percy simply chooses not to kill Ozai right then rather than

Seeing this update just made my day! I always love seeing the character growth and relationships form throughout these stories and it is so great that you give time to let these form rather than rushing everything along.

Also I love how you reply to your reviews. It isn't something I see too often and it really feels like connecting with another fan, rather than a website that updates occasionally. Honestly, kinda hoping that when Azula finally catches up to the Gaang and Percy that she just zeros on Percy, breaks down a little, and just can’t make herself fight anymore. Especially since the stuff Percy said is just starting to really take hold.

But I’m not the one writing this and I’m excited for how this continues.
