![]() ![]() ![]() why use three hands of water if he just launched himself over to the fire nation boat? and that message going to be half ruined the taking of the ship was a bit confusing but ok |
![]() ![]() ![]() Very Cool I love the Pairing. Percy is good für Azula. Please the next Chapter soon. |
![]() ![]() ![]() "Oh, I don't know." He paused, long enough for Percy to think he was never going to get an answer. "Maybe, she met someone who didn't have the chance to be an older brother. Didn't know it would be so bad to miss out on it. Something like that?" Tears sprung to the demigod's eyes. "Ahh, right." Estelle." *Teary eyed* fuck you man,*sniff* you can't say that shit. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I really hope that Azula will end up better then in series. Maybe even with Percy. |

![]() ![]() ![]() Randomly hopped on on a whim out of boredom and felt like I could squeal with joy when I saw an update. I still adore your take on azula. Humanizing her while still keeping her more manic personality. |

![]() ![]() ![]() Pop Quiz: What do you do when you log into FFN one day, only to discover that they’ve paused your notifications for the better part of a year? Should you… A. Write the website admins a strongly worded letter. B. Challenge the site admins to an Agni Kai so that you might destroy their honor for all time! C. Play Persona 5(again) D. Knock it off with the dumb jokes, and just catch up with the fics you’ve missed already! Or E. All of the above, plus binge the source material of your favorite fic, and then the fic itself to celebrate having 3 whole new chapters to read. So on an unrelated note, I rewatched Avatar for the first time in forever just recently! On to the review proppe- That’s right Mr. Bad to-go cup, YOU BETTER JUST SIT THERE MENACINGLY, else I’ma call back the washing machine to open up another can of whoopass all over your stupid safety hazard throne room! Even if you are voiced by Mark Hamil which I didn’t realize the first time I watched the show! Ahem. On to the review propper, I said in an earlier review that Ty Lee was the character I was watching most closely, and while I stand by that intent and my interpretations and observations that lead to it, in this latest reread after my latest rewatch, Azula was definitely the stand out this time. Contrasting her thought process here with her actions in canon, being able to more sharply imagine Grey Delisle’s voice when reading these equally heartbreaking and heartwarming lines, it’s leant our lady that little bit of extra weight. When all you’ve known is darkness, the light can be more painful than comforting, especially when the dark doesn’t want to let go. On that note, Azula almost putting up her facade of strength in front of Mai and Ty Lee, then letting it drop is the exact sort of scene I’ve been waiting for. She’s been vulnerable in front of them before, Ember Island and post World’s Worst daddy shoulder pat come to mind, but whereas there it was in response to high running emotions or a result of intense physical agony, here it was a choice. Whether by conscious decision or subconscious acknowledgement, Azula chose to let her friends in, to confide in them, to trust that they would not regard her weakness as a flaw to be corrected or a chink to be exploited… or a failing to abandon. I think it’s fairly self-explanatory why that's so major to me, and it certainly has me on tenterhooks for what comes next. I can’t imagine finding her safe haven of Percy’s home empty will do her emotional state any favors. … she’s totally gonna burn that sh*t down in a tragic and emotional explosion, isn’t she? I also can’t help but take note of Azula’s usage of prison imagery. It naturally began when confronting her uncle’s empty cell, but continued onward into the next chapter as well. While the symbolism speaks for itself, my most recent rewatch of ATLA brings a more direct implication to mind. Without turning the review into a FanFic on your FanFic(which I DESPERATELY want to do, you have no idea), suffice it to say that I’m anticipating The Boiling Rock VERY keenly. Given the players present and choices made in canon, paired with a multitude of different themes both building in your narrative and specific to that episode, methinks we’re in store for something big. Lastly, it was nice getting some one-on-one time between Percy and Zuko, the Prince being the last of the main cast yet to do so. On the other hand, Zuko telling Percy about his “you’re a good brother” chat with Azula causing Percy to tear up over the sister he never knew while holding/healing a sleeping Toph f*cking broke me. I’m a sobbing mess, and it’s your fault! You know what you did, you evil writing genius, now make it better! Or worse! But only if it’s the good kind of worse! |
