Reviews for Mr Monk and the Tangled Web
thesunisup chapter 10 . 11/9/2021
You certainly pick out the perfect title for this story, three different victims killed most likely by the same hand and only a few clues available, a real enigma.
I'm afraid Leland may have a heart attack if he keeps up like this.

So, Molly is pregnant... Grandpa Adrian sounds good! :-)
thesunisup chapter 9 . 11/9/2021
Adrian made a baby with Natalie but he can't touch her feet with bare hands, this is crazy and funny at the same time! However I don't see Natalie complaining about it.
They are so much in love and devoted to each other, the best couple ever!
thesunisup chapter 8 . 11/9/2021
Another victim, another cop, and things are not what they seem. What a mess!
I feel sad for Natalie, the way Adrian tries to soothe her is heart touching.
Sophia have no doubt her dad will solve the puzzle, "How do you know I'll solve it?"
"Cause you are smart". Adorable!
thesunisup chapter 7 . 11/9/2021
I like Tk much more than Karen (which actually I didn't like at all) and I'm pleased that she and Natalie became great friends, I can understand the concern they feel and share for their husbands and I hope nothing serious will happen to Leland or Adrian.

Dwayne's constant need for food it's hilarious, he is like a newborn, he eats every four hour or less, LOL
thesunisup chapter 6 . 11/9/2021
Oh boy, this web is more and more tangled!
What a marvelous tea party, Adrian decked out with hat and beads, LOL, I think Sophia could make him do anything she wants.
I'm glad Natalie's parents reconnected with her and her family.
thesunisup chapter 5 . 11/9/2021
Family moments like this are pure joy! I'm so happy for Adrian, the role of father and husband fits him like a glove.
Little Sophia wants her daddy teach her to play bowling, isn't she adorable?
idablue04 chapter 11 . 11/8/2021
Well, here it goes...Sophia. Now why would Hayes show up to the Monk's home if he didn't want her in his life. If he can't take care of her like he said, what about his family. I really don't know how the Monk's can survive this if Sophia is taken from them. Natalie is already demanding that Adrian not let them take Sophia. And they may not have a choice if he didn't know about Sophia. She does have a biological family now. And what about Sophia's emotional state, all she knows are the Monk's.
Have to say, at this point this is exceptional writing and an amazing story. Can't wait to see how this ends!

Mmm! (Runs Hands Down Face) What A Gripping, Powerful, Painful, Gorgeous Chapter. I Saw What This Brought Coming But I Was Wholly Unprepared For The Reality Of It. Ryan That's Who You Are Pal. Or Rylan In Sophia. Great Job! That Doesn't Even Cover It, Superb!
KittyKat06 chapter 10 . 11/7/2021
So Gray's partner on the force has been out on medical leave since the morning of the 19th, the morning after Gray's murder. Hm...

I'm worried about Leland, too, but I loved the moment of Monk touching Leland's shoulder in support after Leland vented his frustrations. It was a nice parallel to the scene of Stottlemeyer wordlessly touching Monk's hand before leaving Monk alone with Tennyson in the Manhattan ep :). He needs to talk to TK about the promotion instead of assuming her reasons for wanting him to take the job upgrade, and I think something's going to happen to him to end him up in the hospital if he doesn't be careful. I get why Leland, as captain and the one in charge of his guys, doesn't want to believe there's a bad cop in their ranks but even if there's not a murderous cop there might be one that's skimming drugs from the evidence room. Both are equally bad, for Leland and for the SFPD. (Oh, and my vote's for Max for his kid that's being stupid. Lol.)

Monk handled the news of Molly's pregnancy so much better than I thought he would and likewise Molly reacted to Natalie's surprise congratulations cake much better than I would. Hee. I loved the most the moment on the couch at the end of the night when Monk said/sighed that Trudy would be so happy /bittersweet happy moment. I wouldn't have ever imagined it that Monk would be the first one of the core four to be a grandparent!

("You're crazy." / "I've been called worse." [laugh]. I loved that entire breakfast scene even with Natalie burning the bacon xD)
alex hoodle chapter 10 . 11/6/2021
I Love This Story. It's Great. I'm Both Worried About & And Frustrated By Stottlemyer Who Seems To Forget Monk Saves His Bacon All The Time.(Throws Hands Up) Leland What Are We Doin? Monk's Giving You The Answer To The Test. Let's Go. I Do Like That You Kept The Element Of Leland That I Find...Challenging As Monk's My Fave Of The Fab Four. It Adds A Layer Of Difficulty For Adrian & His Reaction To The News Was Perfect LOL
idablue04 chapter 10 . 11/6/2021
Always love "Hooked on a Feeling". So glad to see the romance is back after tense moments, although justified by Natalie. I don't know who the culprit is in this case. Maybe it's not an officer? That would certainly make Leland happy. I really don't think it's gang related either. This will be a hard hit to the police force if officers are involved. And Molly and Luke are expecting! I thought that may be the case when Monk said she stated, "she needed the practice " with babysitting the kids.
KittyKat06 chapter 9 . 11/6/2021
Monk offering to quit doing consultant-work for Natalie (aww!) reminded me of when Leland offered to do the same for TK when she was freaking out about everything going on with their wedding, and just like TK wouldn't allow it because she didn't want Leland to resent her one day Natalie won't allow Monk to quit what he loves, for the same reasoning. I love that so much :) (And LOL at Monk needing to put on latex gloves and use a towel as a barrier to give Natalie a foot massage. Just like how he put on all of his gear to change Sophia's diapers in the first stories. Hee :p.)

I understand why police officers have to ask the questions they do but of course the widow Gray was going to react that way when Leland/Washington basically accused her and/or her husband of doing or selling drugs. I believe her, I think, that she didn't know the drugs were in the safe, but a few things in her interview stood out. Adam being allergic to strawberries, him quitting the gambling meetings after only a few and not going back or trying another group, Craftsman vs Snap-on tools, the two separate mentions of poker by Victoria and the wheelchair-bound neighbor.

The note of the dog stopping to bark for an hour before starting up again is very interesting as is the gap in time between the dog barking and when the neighbor ended up calling the police. The end-of-the-cul-de-sac poker player is a good person to check up on for sure, but I'd look into that neighbor, too, if I were Monk and Crew.

(How old is Molly? Five-ish or so years older than Julie? Naturally Monk wouldn't pick up on the understood social cue, but [married] people saying yes to babysitting because they need the practice... xD.)
KittyKat06 chapter 8 . 11/4/2021
So much for my theory about Srgt. Gray xD.

I knew when the crew got in the house that he didn't commit suicide. The chair overturned neatly underneath his dangling body and the pen found neatly under the chair? If Gray had died by his own hand hanging himself, his feet would (more than likely) have instinctively kicked and kicked the chair out away from him. There's also the possibility that Gray had someone helping him, someone to make a suicide look like a murder... (It is convenient that the wife was out of town and then came back shortly thereafter. No forced entry, front door unlocked. Wife left in a hurry to be away from the house.)

The neat and organized garage reminded me of that lady from the first season Monk had a crush on that looked like Trudy. Lol. Hm, the difference in the hammers. I'm not sure that means definitively that Gray didn't kill Ross. So far the perpetrator(s) have covered their tracks well and like Monk said he's a cop. He knows how things work. If a hammer from his own specialized collection is missing surely they would zero in on that as the murder weapon. Gray must have heard around the station that Ross was found dead and how he was killed. He might have even heard about the scraps of metal found in Ross' skull and that they were from a hammer. Maybe Grey or his accomplice bought a non-Craftsman hammer as an alibi weapon, so to speak. Monk said it himself, why would he leave it laying out in plain sight?

Not important to the chapter, but - Jared and Max took Leland mountain climbing? Between that and the motorcycle and the cop career, no wonder TK worries about him. Lol.
idablue04 chapter 9 . 11/4/2021
These are such serious cases, two involving cops. Can definitely see why Natalie is so worried about her husband. And a husband has to truly, truly love his wife in order to give up his abilities of solving crimes to stop his wife from worry. Adrian and Natalie are the most loving couple I think I have ever read about. And their devotion to each other rings true because of their commintment to their first spouses. I do feel that Gray's wife is telling the truth and didnt know what her husband was all involved in. This does seem so much bigger than the SFPD. With gambling and maybe drug debts, the top tier is always involved .
alex hoodle chapter 9 . 11/4/2021
Oh My Gosh I Can't With This Story. It's Too Good! The Case Is Good, The Humor's Good, (The Fact That Monk Won't Touch Natalie's Feet But Everything Else Is On The Table, Hilarious! Perfect! I Laughed So Hard. Monk Come On Bro! LOL) Great Chapter!
