I have just finished re-reading this fic, and I can honestly say it is one of my all-time favourite ASOIAF fics, and certainly one of the best-written. Your portrayal of Jon is unique - a man of war and learning in equal measure. The level of detail surrounding the story likely took days to research, and it shows - the basis of Jon and his actions on Julius Caesar is really quite brilliant. The style is also atypical; the story reads like few others, to its credit. The use of magic and dreams to accentuate the realism-driven plotlines makes this feel more like the fantasy world of GOT than a few dragons ever could.

It honestly makes no sense for Talia to have told Gerry that she’s pregnant. He’s one of Jon’s boys but that’s it, he’s hardly her confidant etc.

Owen had no right to demand that from Jon, he’s admitted Jon has helped him many times but Jon never asked for anything in return.

All Jon has asked for is information.

With friends like Owen, who needs enemies?

Gendry has no claim whatsoever, his only use just like Mya and Edric Storm are to point out that Joffrey etc have no traits at all in common with Robert’s illegitimate children, therefore are unlikely to be his.

Catelyn is such an idiot and Baelish basically just feeds her nonsense thoughts on bastards, even though it’s thanks to Jon that the North has achieved so much and that Arya was found.

Why didn’t Jon and Robb use the quicklime from the chapter at the Neck? It would have caused havoc with the Reachmen and Westerners, causing them to crush each other etc as the horse’s tried to escape and would end up killing each other.

It makes no sense for the Karstark lad to ask Jon for a spar. If anything, it makes the Karstark look weak, as Jon had literally just said that he hasn’t sparred in years because he’s been at the Citadel and they don’t spar there. The Karstark is only brave enough if fighting against someone who doesn’t spar?

The yard quietening and Robb being in a tricky position over it is bizarre and ridiculous.

Are there no pairings since he's going to be a Maester?

this has a sequel that's not finished. it's a pretty good read, a bit of a trudged at times.

Well, Jon kept Robb from fucking the whole war effort until now. I was waiting, waiting and waiting for it the whole. One cannot be flawless in his war with Tullys (or Riverlands in general) in his house.

The story is just amazing.

Yes I enjoy reading have characters but your character is too clever seems to know too much about inventions
