Honestly, if you are going with a more damaged Harry, as a result of his treatment by the Durlseys, then I think it makes the most sense for him to be only with one girl.

And here comes the House of Black! I had wondered why Daphne seemed so annoyed. It is logical and predictable, I had hoped for some sort of twist on why she'd be so annoyed. On the other hand, it shouldn't be hard to overcome, she just has to get to know the real Harry or learn more of his story. However, how you'll make that happen is one of the things I will have to look forward to. I also liked how you had Slytherin dissect Harry's attitude, which should break him out of his canon wish to be 'just Harry'.

Don't worry about your posting schedule. I have broken mine beyond repair and I'm not sure when I'll get things going again. Fanfiction is fun but it isn't part of real life.

Since you asked...I'd say avoid the multiple pairing. No matter how well written it always reads to any mature woman like a 12 year old boys sex fantasy at which point its just irritating and brings nothing to the table. Quidditch scene was fine, but a wee bit too long IMHO, because, really how much can the games all differ from the books?

Ugh, please no multi. It usually more or less comes off as some stupid ill conceived Gary Stu-ish fantasy. The multiple wife thing really gets old and is honestly sexists. If you want to do multiple relationships throughout the story such as Harry and Hermione get together but don't work and then he moves on to Daphne that's one thing but I am really not int he mood for a harem.

First, one minor point in this chapter: You identified the Ravenclaw Keeper as a seventh year so he should be taking his NEWTS, not playing. Harry also took a big chance by doing the Wronski Feint and hoping he could still find the snitch afterwards. Otherwise, the chapter was pretty good.

I don't find 'Multi' stories to be very realistic so I'm not in favor of that. I also don't like Harry/Hermione for most of the same reasons I found Ron/Hermione to be unlikely. Neither Harry nor Ron plan ahead and neither of them are interested in putting in the effort to excel. Both things should drive Hermione crazy. The only thing Harry has over Ron is that he's less likely to say something rude when he's irritated. That's not much to recommend him as a match over Ron.

And obviously it's your story but I really hope you decide to just make it harry/daphne- while Hermione is great, I feel like their relationship is platonic and I always find it difficult to read fics that push them together. But like I said it's your story and I'll most probably continue reading it until that relationship is pushed forward

A cliffhanger? Be ready for some salty reviews, LOL. Some people really don't like then, especially if you make them wait too long for the next chapter. As you predicted, this chapter was a bit dry but it is laying the foundation for the following interactions between the two so it's important.
