Dang, this chapter was a lot.
Frigga is such a coward. First she tries to manipulate Clint by pretending to be Barney and then when he figures it out, she pretends to be Loki?! I hate her. I can't believe I didn't catch the fact that the magic/seidr was yellow and not green. Then she does the live-your-worst-memory-thing that Loki did to the Valkyrie. I thing.
"It isn't the same!" Oh I'm sorry, Frigga, let's take a look at the events. Chitauri, Thanos, Mind control; the situations literally couldn't be more similar! She is worse than Odin!
I am loving all the punches being thrown at Odin and Frigga's faces. It's the best.
I also love your stories you wrote this perfectly. Can't wait for more! (but no pressure)

I gotta say, when everyone died I started crying. This chapter was amazing.

the memories slash hallucinations slash mind trick...they were so real I was tricked. poor Clint. I had some amount of respect for Frigga before but now it's all gone down the drain. yes Nat go punch her! she deserves it!

They just can't catch a break, can they? Yikes.

I love them all so much. I love how they all support each other, even though they're all equally broken. I thought that was specifically highlighted when Bruce was blaming himself, and when Nat asked if Clint would just talk to her because she didn't want to think anymore. It's really beautiful to see people love each other so much. I find it so encouraging.

The interactions with the asgardians were all SO GOOD. I thought it was powerful last chapter - that was nothing compared to this. My goodness. Steve is my hero. Fury's 'next time hit harder' very nearly had me in tears.

I'm always beyond excited to see that you've updated. This story never fails to deliver.

I’m so glad to see the next chapter! I’m not at all surprised by Clint’s reaction to Loki’s words, or that Clint and Loki both seem to be panicking right now. I liked Loki using his magic to show Clint the magical bond connecting their minds. I really do wonder what happened that led to Loki forming such a tether with Clint. But at least Loki is fully healed now? Sort of, at least. Clint’s freak out (break down) makes so much sense, and I like that you wrote it like that instead of making him magically (haha no pun intended) understand or accept it or something. His reaction is so human. I’m not surprised that Clint collapsed when he tried walking too far. I mean, he is still recovering. Oof. Also, it makes sense that Clint would want the tether gone. I liked Loki trying to see if he could remove the tether, even if he was ultimately unsuccessful. The plot twist of Loki having implanted some of his memories in Clint’s mind for safe-keeping until he could retrieve them was wholly unexpected. I wonder why the Chitauri were sending Thor out to kill those who Loki did that to… It’s horrible that Loki will be unable to unlock the spell on Clint until he figures out how to… Oof. I feel so bad for all of the Avengers now. I wish Loki would at least consider Clint’s suggestion for why the Chitauri are trying to destroy the memories, so Loki won’t have them. I’m glad that Clint brought it up though, so that the other Avengers are aware of the possibility that Loki was tortured. Loki being in denial that he could have been tortured by the Chitauri… Oof. It makes sense though, because yeah, there’s no way that he could just accept that his parents tortured him for no reason. *cries* I adored the Avengers assuring Loki that they don’t care if he’s Jotun, that they don’t think something is wrong with him because of it. I’m glad that Clint finally explained to Loki that the Asgardian civil war was for him, because people cared about him and were furious at how Odin was treating him. I did not expect (or remember) that the major war was because people were so angry at Odin’s supposed execution of Loki. I really wonder what they’re going to do about Clint and the spell… I have a bad feeling about this… Steve storming into the conference room and attacking Odin was priceless. I adore how all of the Avengers will stand up for Loki like that. Odin and Frigga could really take a lesson from them. “And I'm sure he was just completely honest with you in between the screaming." Tony is awesome. Lol. I legit cheered when Clint punched Odin in the face. Odin deserved that at the very least. Well, I shouldn’t be surprised that Odin and Frigga realized that Clint’s lightning burns came from Thor. They might know that the Chitauri took Thor, but I still trust the Avengers to find Thor first, if only because they truly and deeply care about him as a person. It’s probably good for Clint to stay in medical, especially since he’s still recovering from the lightning burns. Loki coming to see Clint some days later was nice. I’m not surprised that Loki wanted to know what all Clint remembers about Loki’s captivity. I adore Loki and Clint’s friendship so much. I’m really curious about what it is in the memories that the Chitauri don’t want Loki to know… Clint going for a walk around and getting jumped by Barney… Oof. I didn’t see that coming at all. Maybe I should have given that he’s been thought about so much. Thor sending Barney to get Clint, and Clint getting shot by his brother was horrible. I can’t wait to see what will happen next. I loved this chapter! :D

Odin is just the worst. It was very satisfying for Odin to get punched in the face. At least everyone knows why Clint has been dreaming as Loki.
“God forbid Clint demands it do what it was built for.”
Tony is going to take the fact that Loki was tortured very personally.
Fathers in Marvel are just horrible.
Tony knows how to deal with horrible people.
“Really? Do I look like some sort of dog to you?”
Well, Thor may be stronger but I’m guessing he broke sooner than Loki because Loki’s mind is stronger.
Oh. Barney’s here. That is not good. Not good at all.

I love, love, love that the Avengers are going all-in for Loki. This is how I wish that the MCU relationships would have played out, both with him and also between the other Avengers. Thank you for the great new chapter!
