Reviews for Skittering Lazarus
deitarionSSokolow chapter 3 . 8/18/2022
Quite the satisfying start and in a direction I haven't yet run into in any of the other Worm fics I've been binge-reading.

(Both overall and with little details like them suspecting Sophia Mastered Emma.)

I look forward to seeing where you take this.
Exivus chapter 1 . 7/15/2022
That's it? Just glacially slow regeneration? That's underwhelming.

In other news, the sky is blue, grass is green, and water is wet.

I mean...

The sky is only the colour of light going through atmospheric particles, it has no colour of its own and what we see changes depending on the time of day and other conditions.

Grass is only green when it's alive and healthy.

And water isn't wet unless it's interacting with something else. Wetness is a state water makes other things be, not something it is itself.

"Sadly, no," Carol said. "You're not legally capable of placing her under arrest, nor have you stated any intention to begin a citizen's arrest."

Or, "You can't arrest her and you haven't arrested her yet."?

And unless it's a local thing, I don't see why she can't legally place someone under arrest as a citizen of the United States who isn't currently a wanted criminal herself. That's the whole point of allowing citizen arrests.

Hell, if she can't arrest people then what she's doing (keeping Sophia tied up) would count as kidnapping or deprivation of liberty.

Other than that little pedantic rant, this seems like a really interesting idea for a story.
adam110902 chapter 3 . 3/10/2022
great story so far
ElyseSyrova chapter 2 . 3/3/2022
Since Sophia's powers were, primarily, useful only for fleeing from danger, it's not really a wonder she's such a shit "predator", ne?

Azure Lightning Emerald Cloud chapter 3 . 3/2/2022
this chapter was indeed fire. i loved it. it's one of my favorite 'shadow stalker gets caught red handed' chapters i've read.
The One True Slacker chapter 3 . 3/1/2022
Bare in mind that Taylor doesn't kick off the fireworks and does what she thinks would best put out the resulting dumpster fire.

There probably is someone named Taylor Hebert the laws of probability are against you on that one.
Sojurnsts chapter 2 . 3/1/2022
Eh. That solved itself rather quickly. When Carol knows everything, the perps, where they are, their weaknesses, and casually reveals all these super secrets to a client without solid proof, it doesn't so much make Sophia look bad as it makes it seem like the author is just knowledge dumping. Like exactly how many minutes did it take Carol to go from "I can't say who's even involved in this case" to "this is Shadow Stalker's legal situation and how they'll detain her?" Carol could give advice and support to Taylor without completely making herself liable, but she didn't really try.
