It's not just that but his handling/fondling of their Creamware, earlier, that's off-putting; it may-not even be a part of the Entail, and he's Coveting It!

This story is fabulous! I only intended to read the first chapter since it's a WIP, but it sucked me right in. I can' wait for the next installment.

I'm commenting on this chapter (rather than 37) because I might have found a typo. The story says:

In June of ***1795***, Clarence's eighth birthday was marked by a party at Netherfield. And that was the day that Elizabeth Bennet's life changed forever."

But then the very next line says:

Netherfield Park, Hertfordshire, June 16, ***1794***

I mention it because you've asked us to point out possible errors ... and because it delayed my reading by nearly a full minute while my brain tried to resolve the anomaly. :D

In other news, your author's notes are hilarious!

I was re-reading this very Fanfic, and re-watching the TV-show, "High Potential", and I made the connection that you've 'upgraded' Elizabeth, here in your Fanfic, as a "High Potential Intellectual"...

Your attention to detail is lovely. Have you ever read the gender bent modern retellings of P&P and Emma on AO3 by TolkienGirl? I think you’d like them. They’re clever but the mood and feeling is so visceral in them. They’re savory like your rendition but in an entirely different way.

I still feel very bad for Mary feeling like she has to settle but am thrilled that Kitty and Lydia have a bit more sense. Elizabeth is unparalleled but I’m sure you have some hurtles left for her to overcome. Namely how Darcy will reconcile his love for her and his brotherly love for Georgiana with Elizabeth’s need for travel. Maybe the Colonel could stay with her at Pemberley with Lydia while our duo sees the world?

Your story is incredible! The characters are so well-developed and the emotions kept me fully engaged from start to finish. I loved every moment of it! By the way, I have an idea I’d love to share with you. I’m sure you’ll like it.

I rarely read (a) 'Lizzy is clever' stories, usually typified by those where she's a cuckoo (either with or lost from the Bennets) and sickeningly marvellous and wonderful; or (b) incomplete stories as I find it hard enough keeping track of my own let alone others' stories.
How wrong I was! I admit it!
Though I regret that it's not yet finished, I don't regret reading thus far. I like that you've given Lizzy flaws and have shown how others have corrected her. I'm impressed by the breadth and detail of your research and your 'layman' presentation of her learning. Yes, there are few neologisms and American terms in your otherwise excellent writing, but, if you intend to publish, a good editor* will help to remove/replace these.
I hope that you don't mind, but I won't read any more until you've marked it 'complete' just so that I have the excuse to reread it from the beginning.
*I have no claims to be a good editor, but can wear a 'picky Brit' hat, should you want a volunteer.

So, Lizzy is a "High Potential Intellectual" (a term I heard on "High Potential", a new TV series)...

I am fortunate that I only discovered this story when so much had already been written. It’s fabulous! I suspend my disbelief at Elizabeth’s uncommon intelligence and enjoy being taken away on an adventure. I love Elizabeth’s relationship with her mother improving, her realistic measure of her father, the careful way she’s taught Kitty and Lydia about money. I hope that Elizabeth is able to write to Greenwich Observatory to help discover Neptune!
