Am u a bad man for saying that I want to see Maybourne get roasted by Her Worminess? Oh well, at least she should be able to clearly educate thema about why interrogating the Jaffa won't get them far, and why messing around with the larvae is suicidally stupid.

Maybourne's character has so much potential, but most authors keep him as only a 2D protagonist. Not only is the guy patriotic and pragmatic, but he is experienced in the type of warfare that the SGC sorely lacked: insurgency and intelligence gathering.

it will be intresting if later on in this fic Apollyon shows up mostly so we could how the ori and Ancient react to what is effectivily a Transcendant Parasite a diffrent path to ascension then either of them had taken.

Also, genetic memory is basically a lazy excuse to forego "show, not tell" (not meant to criticize, great idea to rely on some canon "loophole" there ) .

Imo you really seem to have the basic characters of SG1 down (so far, we weren't shown/aforded to more than the basics), so i really look forward to what's to come.

Interesting use of blending the connection between Taylor and Skarr (however you spell his name) like that allowing the latters good aspects affect Taylor in a similar if slightly different way then the genetic memory does

Are you going to change some things from Canon SG1? For example saving Egeria from her ridiculous write off from the story, her Death was abrupt and nonsensical, she's one of the most important Characters since her actions changed the Fate Of The Galaxy with her Rebellion against the Rule Of The Goa'ulds so instead of killing her off let her Join Forces with Humanity and build up for the inevitable War. Personally I find it unlikely that a Single Queen could have done enough damage against the Collective of System Lords to have any effects thus I've always thought that it would have made more sense that her Rebellion would have inspired other Queens to Rebel as well since they were at that point already being treated no better then Breeding Tools by the Rulers Of The Empire, I mean not all "Gods" from Legends were bad, I few of them could have been Goa'uld Queens and be neutral Good instead of the Typical Evil Caricatures we got from their Species, the Domino Effects would have distabilized the Empire enough to explain the Events in Canon. The second thing that made no sense is How the Asgards just decided to commit suicide instead of Kicking Ori's Asses back to the Galaxy, they were at point the most advanced Faction in the Milky Way and it's unlike them to act like cowards. Finally are you going to let the MC change Hosts cause not going lie it's Weird to have her in a Guy, and then let her evolve into a Queen would make for an interesting twist, I have a few ideas as for possible Hosts like the Frozen Ancient in Antarctica. I digress sorry for the Long Message and I would like to say your Story is great so far and a blast to read.

Yo I absolutely love this fic so far. The pacing of the story is good, the character development so far is good and I like that Taylor doesn't have her power to fall back on (yet. Idk if she will get it in the future or not).
