Harry is falling for Daphne. I like that a lot.

I am glad Harry made up with Hermione. She did not betray Harry but made an error in judgment in not telling him of Ginny's infidelity in order to save him from being hurt.

I think Harry is closer to falling for Daphne than finding the murderer of Ginny.

Killing off a Ginslut at the beginning of a story is an excellent start. Now, it's time to do away with Mary Sue Mudblood.

Please go for big stories at least 50K. You can show their journey even after the case is solved like at masteries or business partner or something (not directly marrying after case completes hopefully)

I like this Harry. It’s more realistic. No one comes out of war and abuse unscathed. You can’t accept priest out of his life story. Hopefully he now understand how Dumbles manipulation changed his entire life course. I personally liked when he thought he can’t fully trust Hermione. He shouldn’t. Hopefully he will use all the tools he have now to become powerful and be at influential potion. Instead of starting mediocre or likes of that shown in canon.

I like Harry finding his limits - what he honorably won't do. Discovering the advantages and talents of his form.

Daphne is pretty and a very reasonable and smart Slytherin instead of just a hanger-on.

I am not close at all to pinpointing the murderer. You have really done a good job of making it hard to discover the murderer.

Astoria was at the scene of the murder. She should be at least a person of interest. Hannah can be a suspect as well. Jealous girls can be prone to violence.

At least he's fully considering possible motives. I'm not sure this Harry is auror material, his investigation is rather haphazard.

So, your Daphne in this story is not so different from your previous Daphnes. She still has a secret crush on Harry.
