Seamus certainly has the temperament to kill someone in a bout of anger. I would have still appreciated the character of your Daphne even if she had not fought the forces of Voldemort in the final battle. After all she had to look out for her sickly sister.

Talk to Ron? What a horrible idea and that probably won't end well. There could be lots of motives, I'd consider jealousy to a prime candidate.

The suspects should include Dean Thomas and Michael Corner who were both dumped by Ginny and Hannah Abbott who has a crush on Neville. Blaise Zabini might be a suspect. He might have asked Ginny for a date and got rejected.

Everyone was coming off as too excitable in the previous chapter, this is a little better.

So the real motivation for Astoria to frame Neville was jealousy because he was involved with Ginny, the girl she was in love with.

Daphne and Harry are not enemies anymore. I will enjoy reading how they find out who the murderer is and how their relationship changes. My guess is that the murderer is actually a Gryffindor.

I like this Harry, he is looking out for Neville and will get the truth and justice. Hard truths are not easy to hear let alone discover/realize; so Harry bring Harry is not surprising. Thanks for posting, also Greengrass (the father) just because you protected your father and filtered money for Voldemort does not let you off the moral hook. For evil to prosper it needs good men to do nothing, and that is what he did but also aid (sucks to be in that position) but still it is a sadness.

This is something new in your Daphne/Harry stories. Harry is playing hardball with Daphne.

Poor Molly. Another child died so soon after burying Fred. Either Astoria is covering up for someone or she arrived at the scene after the real murderer has gone and Neville incriminated himself with his stupidity.
