Zoom99 chapter 1 . 7h you've got a crazy guy writing a novel in your comments. |
Guest chapter 25 . 11/28 I heard after the Boys season 3 storyline, everyone in the Boys except for Hughie Campbell want to throw Billy Butcher under the bus, Hughie Campbell was the only person who understood the need to use Temp V, Soldier Boy, and Little Nina but also understood why it was a mistake to do all those things as well. Little Nina was needed to find Soldier Boy, but it required asking too much of both Frenchie and Kimiko resulting in Kimiko killing a crime lord in front of innocent girls and Frenchie being brutally beaten and almost killed by Little Nina and her men. Attempting to use Soldier Boy as a weapon against Homelander broke the friendship with Mother's Milk because Soldier Boy killed M.M.'s family and Mother's Milk has wanted Soldier Boy dead for a long time. Even Starlight wanted to throw Billy Butcher under the bus for wanting to use Soldier Boy to kill Homelander because of all of the innocent people Soldier Boy killed. Grace Mallory herself also wanted to throw Billy Butcher under the bus for his mistake in pushing away Ryan Butcher which led to Ryan going directly to Homelander. This was before the August 2022 flash-forward scene with the funeral, but if the Boys imprison Soldier Boy like they did in the canon storyline, and Billy Butcher ends up having only 18 months to live as a result of too much Temp V, then I wonder what Lois Lane and Superman will think of the idea of throwing Billy Butcher under the bus like everyone else except for Hughie Campbell believe. Despite everyone's disdain towards Billy Butcher's actions, Superman will be the first to notice Billy Butcher dying thanks to his super senses, and Lois Lane knows that Billy Butcher will never stop fighting against the supes' corruption with or without support from the Boys, Lois Lane, the US government, Superman, or anyone else, which is something that Superman would later understand as well, that even when dying, Billy Butcher will never stop fighting until the end, even if it means that he has to stand alone against an army of thousands of supes just as powerful as Homelander. |
Guest chapter 25 . 11/28 I was looking at the list of Batman's teachers and noticed that Hughie Campbell can meet them in his trip to Paris to finish his father's bucket list since Hughie's father always wanted to visit Paris and Paris is where Batman first met Henri Ducard after training with Alfred Pennyworth in everything Alfred knows in military training. If Hughie's father dies earlier than season 4, Hughie might travel to Paris to complete his father's bucket list only to meet Henri Ducard in the process, but since Hughie Campbell already has the skills Henri Ducard would teach thanks to Lois Lane, Hughie can prove himself worthy of receiving the list of the greatest martial artists across the entire world in only a few days: 1. Ted Grant (aka Wildcat): Boxing and MMA 2. David Cain: assassination training due to David Cain's reputation as the world's greatest assassin 3. Kirigi: Ninjitsu and the lethal vibrating palm strike which kills someone in one hit 4. Tsunetomo: Ninjitsu, knowing your own body's strengths and weaknesses, and infiltration of the Yakuza mobs 5. Chu Chin Li: Martial arts and to endure great pain with extreme acupuncture therapy 6. Shihan Matsuda: true art of swordsmanship 7. O-Sensei: Martial arts and life changing wisdom Since Hughie Campbell has proven to be a fast learner when it comes to close quarters combat, if he trains with each of these martial artists for only a few months, he might surpass the Boys in close quarters combat in only a few years. I wonder if Ted Grant is canon in this storyline because Ted Grant was referenced in the Wonder Woman chapter as one of the original Compound V test subjects and Ted Grant trained Superman in boxing in the DC comics. Superman has already shown that he was trained in boxing, which means he could've trained with Ted Grant in this storyline, so if Superman is willing to help Hughie Campbell get stronger by having him train with his own combat teachers, Hughie Campbell can receive the same hand-to-hand combat training Superman received. With Hughie Campbell's inferiority complex, Hughie learning that he unintentionally wasted 2 years undermining the Boys' fight against the supes while believing he was successfully fighting Vought the right way after learning that Victoria Neuman is the Head Popper and Stan Edgar's adopted daughter, Hughie Campbell helplessly watching his father's death and Starlight being critically injured to the point that she is placed in the wheelchair she is in the August 2022 flashforward, Hughie Campbell's desire to get stronger by any means necessary will motivate him to train with the best martial artists he can find. |
Guest chapter 25 . 11/27 I have an idea for the future of this storyline which is one that can introduce platinum kryptonite. According to the DC comics, platinum kryptonite is located inside the Phantom Zone, and with the Phantom Zone projector opening a portal to the Phantom Zone along with the possibility of pieces of Krypton's planet inside the Phantom Zone, it leads to the possibility of either Superman collecting platinum kryptonite or one member of the Boys discovering the platinum kryptonite. Then, Kelex can scan it just like Kelex did when Superman first collected the kryptonite from the Phantom Zone, where Kelex explained how it gives humans permanent Kryptonian powers if they touch the stone, which was why Superman kept it safe. The only reason Superman trusted Batman with the platinum kryptonite was because he knew that Batman was never going to stop trying to save lives no matter what happens to him and both Superman and Batman have been colleagues for years. Batman used the platinum kryptonite to save Gotham Girl and her brother who were both metahuman superheroes whose lifespans were lowered massively due to their metahuman powers, so Batman gave them the lifespan of a Kryptonian. Since Kara Zor-El explained that she and General Zod plan to open a portal to the Phantom Zone to retrieve the other Kryptonian survivors, this can lead to Superman discovering platinum kryptonite when Kara Zor-El and General Zod enact their plans. I wonder what this version of Superman will do when he realizes that he has the chance to give a human being Kryptonian powers permanently. Superman going inside the Phantom Zone opens the possibility of platinum kryptonite showing up and Superman possibly giving it to the person he trusts the most with that type of power. I hope to see what Lois Lane, Hughie Campbell, and Billy Butcher would all think of the platinum kryptonite possibly giving them permanent Kryptonian powers if they touch it. |
Guest chapter 25 . 11/27 Just realized, with Starlight being placed in a wheelchair as shown in the August 2022 part, if Hughie Campbell was forced to watch the whole event happen, combined with Hughie's discovery that Victoria Neuman is the Head Popper and rigged the whole system which fueled Hughie's inferiority complex and drove him to using Temp V in the first place, Hughie Campbell will no doubt feel more furious at his own lack of abilities to get involved in combat than ever before, possibly giving him the same endless drive to fight against the supes with no fear that Billy Butcher has. Hughie Campbell doesn't have that willpower yet, even though he has proven to be able to show no fear against Homelander. Since Sam Lane admitted that Hughie Campbell is a good soldier, witnessing Hughie Campbell's inferiority complex caused by the revelation that Victoria Neuman is the Head Popper and the idea that Hughie wasted 2 years undermining the Boys' fight against the supes, altogether might make Sam Lane think about the idea of training Hughie Campbell into a perfect soldier because Sam Lane would believe that Hughie Campbell has the heart and mind of a soldier, but not the combat skills of one. I wonder what Sam Lane and Lucy Lane would think of the idea of providing Hughie Campbell with military training due to how fast Hughie Campbell learned hand-to-hand combat and how to use a knife in combat from both Starlight and Kimiko. Hughie Campbell may be terrible at using a gun, but when it comes to close quarters combat, he is a fast learner. I hope to see what Sam Lane, Lois Lane, Lucy Lane, Wonder Woman, and Superman will do with Hughie Campbell's inferiority complex that drove him to using Temp V in the first place, with no care of what damage it can do to his body, because unlike everyone else in the Boys and Starlight, both Sam Lane, Lois Lane, Lucy Lane, Wonder Woman, and Superman would all understand why Hughie is upset with how he is unable to protect his loved ones on his own and has to always rely on everyone else to fight his battles. |
Guest chapter 25 . 11/26 Just realized, once Mary Clark learns about Superman's alien heritage, making her realize that the supe virus won't harm Superman or his daughter, Mary Clark will no doubt confront Stan Edgar/General Zod about it, asking if he knew that the supe virus won't harm Superman or his daughter, which is something that General Zod would confirm in front of both Sam Lane and Mary Clark, making them realize that Clark Kent and his daughter will be the only survivors which makes them a possible threat to the plan to release the supe virus. This might lead to Sam Lane having the kryptonite charged cyborg Metallo created to kill Superman so that he won't intervene in the plan to release the supe virus, but he would need someone with a scientific mind to create the kryptonite charged cyborg, someone like Lex Luthor. Can't wait to see Mary Clark's, Sam Lane's, and Indira Shetty's thoughts on the fact that while the supe virus would kill many supes, it won't kill Superman or his daughter! |
Guest chapter 25 . 11/25 I was looking at the Butcher a Short Film and noticed that when Billy Butcher was forced to kill his former friend Jock, Jock mentioned that during Billy Butcher's time in the SAS and British Royal Marines, Billy Butcher one time harmed an innocent person who he thought was using a real gun but it turned out to be a fake gun. Billy Butcher had a huge record of being the most extreme in the British military but was never discharged, instead he eventually left after his brother's death. All of this was before Billy Butcher met his wife Becca who brought out the compassion that he thought he lost when his younger brother Lenny died. I wonder if Sam Lane will call Billy Butcher out on the fact that Billy Butcher has harmed innocent people before because while Jock was self-defense since Jock pointed a gun to Billy Butcher and Billy Butcher did what he was trained to do, but that innocent person that Billy Butcher thought had a weapon but it was a toy water gun didn't deserve to get badly injured, and Billy Butcher knows that given the look of regret when Jock mentioned about that incident to Billy Butcher. Maybe this is why Billy Butcher truly despises Sam Lane even before learning about Sam Lane being a super soldier, because within Sam Lane, Billy Butcher sees the old version of himself before he met Becca. Due to Grace Mallory and Sam Lane having shared history in Nicaragua and Sam Lane caring for Grace Mallory's family as shown with how Sam Lane killed Lamplighter, there's no doubt that Grace Mallory knows all about Sam Lane's military training which was the training she provided to Billy Butcher to help him take on the supes. This is why I hope Billy Butcher goes to Lois Lane instead of Mother's Milk to get information on Gunpowder due to Lois Lane being a reporter, so that Lois Lane can give Billy Butcher the suggestion to brutally interrogate Gunpowder instead of blackmailing Gunpowder since blackmailing supes has tended to backfire more than once, but threatening to injure them critically would scare the supes into submission. Lois Lane has proven to be able to keep Billy Butcher's ruthlessness and brutality in check time and time again, and she can do so again if Billy Butcher goes to her about Soldier Boy and the team Payback instead of going to Mother's Milk. |
Guest chapter 25 . 11/25 I was looking at the Justice League Dark Apokolips War movie and noticed that Darkseid removed Superman's powers by placing a permanent green kryptonite tattoo on Superman's chest and it took the magical powers of Trigon to bring back Superman's powers. Darkseid made the kryptonite tattoo look like the House of El symbol just to spite Superman. If Billy Butcher decides to do the same thing to Homelander, it can remove Homelander's powers until Homelander figures out a way to get rid of the kryptonite tattoo, but that can be a way to imprison Homelander. Billy Butcher first needs to get his hands on kryptonite and fully understand on how it affects Kryptonians, then ask Frenchie to make a machine that would create a permanent green kryptonite tattoo, Billy Butcher can get close enough to Homelander to make the permanent tattoo on Homelander. If Billy Butcher either uses Kryptonian technology to create red solar emitters to block Homelander's powers or fires a kryptonite bullet on Homelander's chest to knock Homelander unconscious, then Billy Butcher would have the time he needs to create the permanent green kryptonite tattoo to block Homelander's powers indefinitely with Homelander having no knowledge on how to get rid of it. Since Superman has already defeated Homelander once, Billy Butcher deserves the opportunity to defeat Homelander one-on-one and make the choice whether to kill Homelander or make sure Homelander faces a lifetime of imprisonment, because the difference between Superman defeating Homelander and Billy Butcher defeating Homelander is that Billy Butcher would actually strike fear into Homelander the same way Soldier Boy did since Homelander did not know he had any familial connections to Soldier Boy. |
Guest chapter 25 . 11/25 Just realized, due to the Batman Venom storyline which was when Batman became addicted to a pill that gave him super strength just like when Billy Butcher got addicted to Temp V, the Venom pill was later used to create the formula for Bane's venom. If Temp V is used for the creation of the venom for the origin of Bane in this storyline, this can lead to Batman villains showing up. According to the Boys TV show, V24 is highly unstable and addictive to the point that 3-5 doses kills someone, but if V24 is modified into something that is stable but still addictive like Bane's venom, then it can be used for the origin of Bane. In the Batman Venom storyline, a doctor used moments where Batman's physical strength failed him to persuade him into taking the performance enhancer pill which increased Batman's strength tenfold to the point that he could throw a car without breaking a sweat, but it ruined Batman's detective mind because he was no longer thinking straight. This is precisely what Temp V did to Billy Butcher because he ended up asking too much of the Boys, taking advantage of M.M.'s hatred for Soldier Boy, Frenchie's past with Little Nina, and forcing Kimiko into a position where she had to kill people. Since Bane was a prisoner in Santa Prisca before becoming a test subject for the modified version of the Venom pill which only made him addicted while having immense super strength but didn't kill him, maybe if V24 gets modified to make sure it doesn't kill people but gives them powers temporarily while keeping the drug in tubes, it can create something very similar to Bane. If Sam Lane hires someone to modify the V24 after learning that 3-5 doses kills someone, it can lead to Sam Lane deciding to use the most dangerous prisoner as a test subject to have that prisoner escape the death sentence, leading to the creation of Bane. Deathstroke has already proven that he can beat Bane in the DC comics, so using Bane as a weapon for his own goals can make things much more difficult for the Boys and Superman when Sam Lane decides to betray the Boys and Superman in hopes of releasing the supe virus. Sam Lane's desire to destroy every supe on Earth can lead to the creation of a team of supervillains by adding Lex Luthor if Lex Luthor is Sam Lane's source in Vought instead of Queen Maeve, Metallo if John Corben becomes a test subject to create a kryptonite charged cyborg to kill Homelander and Superman, Bane if V24 gets modified to something more stable than its current condition, General Zod, Cyborg Superman if Hank Henshaw is canon in this storyline, Bizarro if anyone attempts to clone Superman, and more supervillains that don't have Compound V in their veins but have other enhancements while willing to join Sam Lane's cause on destroying every supe on Earth. This is just my opinion since Billy Butcher has a lot of similarities to Batman and the storyline with Billy Butcher taking Temp V has a lot of similarities to the Batman Venom storyline with Batman getting addicted to a performance enhancing drug because he was tired of his physical limitations. |
Guest chapter 25 . 11/24 After looking back at Billy Butcher's storyline, I think Billy Butcher has what it takes to be the Batman of this storyline not only because of his endless drive to fight and his one-man mission to stop the Superhuman Apocalypse, but also his military training which mentioned that he knows a lot of close-quarter combat to the point that he must've learned every form of military training from Britain along with the training Grace Mallory personally gave him, and Grace Mallory would've been fully aware of the training Sam Lane as Deathstroke was given due to their history and Grace Mallory no doubt is the one with the most history with Sam Lane. This means that Billy Butcher has all of the training Sam Lane as Deathstroke was given and so much more, but he doesn't have the weapons, armor, and the Batarang throwing skills Batman has yet. Billy Butcher will first need a lot of practice in knife-throwing to help him receive the same accurate level as Black Noir. I think if Billy Butcher learns the Kryptonian martial arts and the knife throwing skills that Sam Lane has, that will be all he needs to reach Batman-level combat and become the Batman of this storyline. Billy Butcher has currently stopped killing because he wants to be better for Ryan Butcher, but as soon as Hughie Campbell tells Billy Butcher about Victoria Neuman being the Head Popper, Billy Butcher goes back to killing people again to get what he wants. Billy Butcher has admitted many times that he is not a hero and not a good person despite the potential he has in becoming one due to all the times where he showed kindness to people. The fact that Ryan Butcher is the reason Billy Butcher is slowly taking steps to a path of being a better person is something that Lois Lane can help Billy Butcher with due to Lois Lane having a closer amount of ruthlessness as Billy Butcher but tempered with compassion. I hope Billy Butcher borrows Sam Lane's Deathstroke weapons, gadgets, and armor because it will give him the ideas he needs to become the Batman. Even better, Batman's armor has a hybridization of carbon fiber and Kevlar to make the armor strong enough to harm foes and durable enough to withstand bullets, and due to the Kevlar Sam Lane as Deathstroke wears, Billy Butcher might decide that that armor needs upgrades on increasing strength. This is something that Frenchie himself can help Billy Butcher with, as long as Billy Butcher doesn't violate his friendship with Frenchie the way he did in season 3 by using Little Nina to find Soldier Boy's lab and forcing Kimiko to kill people. |
Guest chapter 25 . 11/22 I know Billy Butcher lost the kryptonite when he attempted to use it to save Becca Butcher from Stormfront only to drop it in the rubble where it probably would've either been retrieved by Sam Lane since Sam Lane says he has multiple projects to take down all of the supes and everyone in the Boys along with Wonder Woman, Sam Lane, Ryan Butcher, Grace Mallory, Superman, Lois Lane, and Lucy Lane all saw Martha Kent successfully stab Homelander through his wrist before her death. However, if Billy Butcher gets the chance to get kryptonite again, but this time remembering the damage it did to Homelander, I hope to see what Billy Butcher would do with it, he would no doubt want to make sure that the kryptonite would be able to either damage Homelander's heart or brain instead of Homelander's wrist. With Lucy Lane out on an unknown mission, she must've been ordered by Sam Lane to find more kryptonite across Earth or even steal kryptonite from Superman's storm cellar in his farm, which is why she is traveling in a secret mission that Clark Kent has no knowledge of, because Clark Kent would stop them from taking the kryptonite. Even better, there's a chance Sam Lane might temporarily give Lucy Lane Kryptonian powers like he did in the DC comics using a power suit designed to mimic Kryptonian powers. If Lucy Lane collected a lot of kryptonite to give to Sam Lane for his multiple projects other than the Woods, this can lead to the creation of Metallo like in the Superman Secret Origin comic, when John Corben was turned into a kryptonite charged cyborg all because Sam Lane wanted to imprison Superman for being an alien. Maybe like in the Superman Secret Origin comic, John Corben might attempt to harass Lois Lane before Superman stepped in as Clark Kent and shook John Corben's hand with an extremely tight grip, secretly giving John Corben the message to stay away from his girl. This is why I hope Lex Luthor shows up as someone working for Sam Lane because Lex Luthor would definitely take fascination in the idea that kryptonite can harm Superman, Stormfront, Ryan Butcher, and Homelander who all have pure Kryptonian DNA in their veins, but it doesn't harm Starlight and Wonder Woman despite having Compound V in their veins. |
Guest chapter 25 . 11/22 I hope the Flash shows up in this storyline due to how Superman plans to form his Justice League and the fact that Jay Garrick was already mentioned in the Wonder chapter as one of the original test subjects of Compound V along with Wonder Woman, Soldier Boy, Crimson Countess, and Ted. A new Flash can also show up as either a kid or an adult, but that person would need to get struck by lightning and exposed to Compound V at the same time, just like the origins of Barry Allen, Wally West, and every other speedster that taps into the Speed Force, all getting struck by lightning and exposed to radioactive chemicals at the same time. Jay Garrick can be the mentor of the new Flash who has super speed that completely eclipses Superman's and the ability to phase through anything. Since the only way to become a Flash is from lightning storms other than what happened with Jay Garrick since he was the only exception because he just got exposed to random chemicals, maybe Nubia can be the reason for a new Flash coming. If Nubia summons a thunderstorm by accident like she did in the Boys Diabolical, but her thunderstorm creates a lightning bolt that struck someone and that person gets exposed to Compound V at that exact same time, it can create a Flash character. Nubia has summoned thunderstorms by accident in the Boys Diabolical TV show when she was with her ex-husband Nubian Prince. It is not the first time supes have accidentally lost control of their powers and harmed individuals, getting away with it in the process, but if it is someone who is exposed to Compound V while getting struck by lightning, this can lead to a new Flash. It would be very interesting to see Superman's reaction to the Flash of this storyline because Smallville Clark Kent was actually completely excited when he noticed that there was a speedster whose speed completely outclasses his own super speed. |
Guest chapter 25 . 11/22 Just realized, with Grace Mallory being one of the people babysitting Ryan Butcher in Los Angeles from time to time, the moment Hughie Campbell tells the group that he saw Victoria Neuman being the Head Popper and that she is Stan Edgar's adopted daughter, Superman needs to give Grace Mallory, Wonder Woman, Lois Lane, and Ryan Butcher the same watches he gave to Becca Butcher and Starlight to warn Superman of danger because they'll need to prepare for the possibility of their hidden locations being compromised and Homelander arriving to those locations because Superman is currently the only superhero who can defeat Homelander one-on-one in seconds by using his full-power speed punches like before. Homelander is no where near as fast or as strong as Superman because Superman has been pushing his limits actually saving lives across Earth. Ryan Butcher's Kryptonian powers are powerful enough to push Homelander back but Homelander is still physically stronger to the point that it would take years before Ryan could overpower Homelander, and Wonder Woman is just as strong as Soldier Boy who was powerful enough to give Homelander a bruise. In the Boys season 3, Victoria Neuman was the one who revealed the hidden location of Ryan Butcher to Homelander to get on Homelander's good side, which led to Ryan Butcher going to Homelander and rekindling his father-son relationship. However, after Ryan Butcher helplessly witnessed Homelander kill Martha Kent, I don't think it is likely that Ryan would come with Homelander unless he has no other choice. Even better, with Superman planning to teach Ryan Butcher to master all his Kryptonian powers in the Fortress of Solitude, Ryan Butcher will most likely learn to fight supervillains using his Kryptonian powers. This means as soon as Homelander finds the hidden locations where Ryan Butcher and Mia Kent are at, either Ryan Butcher, Grace Mallory, Wonder Woman, or Lois Lane must use those watches to warn Superman of Homelander's arrival, because they know that Homelander will most likely attempt to use hostages to force Ryan Butcher to come with him. I hope to see how Ryan Butcher plans to handle the situation when Homelander finds him because he knows how psychotic Homelander is after personally witnessing Homelander killing Martha Kent and how Homelander bullied Becca Butcher in front of Ryan Butcher only for Ryan to push Homelander to the ground. |
Guest chapter 25 . 11/21 I was looking in the Boys season 3 and noticed that Drummer Boy, now known as Supersonic, was part of a boy band called Super Sweet, with four other unnamed supes which can be OC characters in this storyline since not one of them were ever mentioned in the Boys TV show after showing up once, and their powers were never mentioned. Since Alex is willing to join Superman's Justice League, especially when he learns about Homelander's psychotic nature and learns about Homelander killing Martha Kent, Alex will no doubt want to help Superman however he can, which can lead to Supersonic talking to the members of Super Sweet. I hope to see what Supersonic will do now that he is willing to join Superman's Justice League because Supersonic's powers are basically super sonic clapping, with strength and endurance comparable to Starlight. I also hope due to Supersonic's naivety that Superman will make sure that Supersonic doesn't attempt to recruit anyone without Superman's permission because Alex trusting A-Train is what led to his death at the hands of Homelander. |
Guest chapter 25 . 11/21 I think due to Garth Ennis' admiration of Superman and how close Billy Butcher was getting to having a redemption arc until Ryan Butcher killed Grace Mallory, Billy Butcher and Superman can work together when it matters, leading to the possibility of them truly getting to know each other more. Billy Butcher knows about the lengths the Kent family took to keep Superman safe, even the lengths that Superman himself doesn't know such as Jonathan Kent killing cultists to protect the Kent family, but still doesn't fully trust Superman yet despite trusting Lois Lane to watch over Ryan Butcher, and Superman doesn't approve of Billy Butcher's actions but understands Billy Butcher's anger towards Homelander and Vought for all of the innocent people harmed by supes and the times supes easily get away with their crimes. If Superman learns about Billy Butcher's past, it will no doubt give him an understanding of the true extent of Billy Butcher's hatred towards those with too much power. Superman learning about Billy Butcher taking Temp V in hopes of killing Homelander himself can lead to a possible debate between Superman and Billy Butcher on how to stop Vought with Superman being the idealist on a better tomorrow and the belief that there's always another way, and Billy Butcher being the realist due to Billy Butcher knowing that Vought never plays by the rules and has the entire system rigged. The last time Superman and Billy Butcher almost debated on what actions should've been done to Vought and their supes led to Mother's Milk and Lois Lane intervening before it could escalate, but if they're not there when that argument happens, it can lead an interesting back and forth. However, that argument would probably end with Billy Butcher revealing that Jonathan Kent killed cultists to prevent Superman from being kidnapped as a child, and since Superman never knew about that, it will no doubt shock him, especially when Superman can easily tell whether someone is lying or not. |
