Shanks is going to have a heart attack at this rate. I bet that he will still basically try to attack or force an attack on Izuku immediately upon meeting him, simply on principle. Well Shigaraki Style is the same.
(Spoilers for the final chapters of MHA)
During the Shigaraki had mutated into an even more powerful state, his entire body was growing hundreds of arms and fingers, amplifying his strength and risking killing the other heroes instantly, if Eraserhead wasn't keeping Decay from working.

By this logic, since Deku used Shigaraki Style it's assumed that he performed the same action, by copying the technique with the use of Black Whip
(It's a fan move for this story, so don't expect to find a reference in the Original MHA material)
