For the first one yes with a council reaction and the second, Make it legal, just like with cannabis, we know that sellers alter it to make it more addictive, but if it is regulated like alcohol and cigarettes, that factor would no longer be so prominent and it would greatly reduce dependence on it. , not to mention that it would reduce the acquisition cost and would be easier to obtain, thus eliminating various aspects of illegality by taking away their market base, making it almost unsustainable for the cartels in economic terms.
Ps. But only with the drugs you could to ensure that they will not be more harmful to them than other regulated substances already are.

1) I would love to see more of that, as it was fucking hilarious.
2) Don't care how you do it.

I have just read this and a similar story by bored peasant called "Mass Effect: Plan of the Galaxy" for the last 4 days and I have loved it. Can't wait for the next chapter.
Hadeen chapter 23 . 11/12
Another really good world building chapter.
I enjoyed the GNN bit and the spiral of desperation of the barbarians is fun as well.
Thanks

Don't put a period after quotation marks.

Example:
"I'd like some cheese." He asked.

What you don't do:
"I'd like some chese.". He asked

For the vid reviews, why not do Tchaikovsky "1812 Overture" where they literally use a cannon as a musical instrument? Would love to see the xeno's reaction to humanity's absurdity

The latest chapter - 23 - left a real bad taste in my mouth. Enough that I'm no longer sure I want to find out what happens in this story.

You just would. not. stop. ranting about the rich corporate types being evil. We got it. We understood you thought that way from the very beginning of your fic, here. You don't need to belabor the point anymore. That horse is long dead.

But you spent all of chapter 23 beating that dead horse - while also taking a dig at a common platitude for some reason.

And you also took a dig at the MCU too. Now, I'm hardly a Marvel superfan (haven't seen one since Guardians 2), but saying the MCU only wants the status quo is... bizarre, to me. Along with the criticism that Tony should have solved decades of regional instability with a weaponized piece of armor technology... in an *action* movie.
We're never even told the origin of the conflict! Is it religious extremists versus moderates? Is it some criminal group that is conquering the region for shits and giggles?
It's just incomprehensibly stupid to be like "Yes, one guy in a suit of armor is going to resolve all the underlying conflict in the region" - when we don't even know what the conflict IS!

What, is he going to organize peace talks between two factions, pump untold amounts of cash into the local economy to foster job growth and stimulate local businesses, arrange for social safety nets, better hospitals, better tech, and just rebuilding the region in general? In a FUCKING *ACTION* MOVIE?!

It's not Civ 6 or Stellaris, it's Call of Duty.

And I'd argue it's less "maintain the status quo" and more "keep the obviously evil bad guys from doing evil shit with new tech."
Tony's doing green shit with the Arc Reactor, Wakanda being all technically advanced was a plus, Tony's new suits were always a plus (except for the toll Tony takes building them), Extremis was shit that made people explode, thr helicarrier was fine (until Hydra got a hold of them and was going to wipe out anyone not Hydra), Vision was fine, etc
Revliledpembroke chapter 23 . 9/26
"This news has been authorized by the Department for Thoughts and Prayers]"

I have no idea why people hate this phrase so much - the fuck is the average person going to do about, like, an earthquake in Asia? Normal people won't be part of a relief effort. Normal people can't always afford to donate money to relief efforts (and a lot of places that need relief money have corrupt officials that steal it all anyway).

So thoughts and prayers are really the only thing they can do.

It's also a platitude. We have many platitudes that we know are meaningless, but say anyway.
So responding "THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS DO FUCKING NOTHING!" is roughly equivalent of hearing someone telling that grieving widow at the funeral that her husband "is in a better place" and cutting in with "NO HE'S FUCKING NOT! A COFFIN IN THE DIRT IS NOT A 'BETTER PLACE'! BEATEN EATEN BY WORMS FOR DECADES IS NOT A 'BETTER PLACE'!"

You know, just an asshole thing to do.

Also, can you ease up on the fucking "rich people are evil" thing, already? It's so weird to hear the same person have a nuanced take on robots that literally committed genocide, and be completely one-sided on rich people being evil.

Like, George Lucas gave almost all of his billions from the Disney purchase of Star Wars to charity - does that make him evil?

Having money doesn't make you any more evil than any other human being.

"hanging on by dear life. Except their lives were swiftly cut short when the trio changed gestures and began warping that Singularity, causing a cascade of biotic biotics to completely"

Hanging on *for* dear life
Also... Biotic biotics?
