I am extremely surprised that Dumbledore is being this helpful letting Severus and Lily stay together like this. I would think he'd put her in an Order safe house with a bunch of other Gryffindors to make sure she kept up with the party line.

Given that Dumbledore forced Snape to STFU after almost being eaten by a werewolf it'd be nice to find out why and how Albus changed. Given how he treated Snape in canon, like the dirty Slytherin most Gryffindors think him, it's nice that he did change.

It's nice that Lily and Severus will have a chance to be together. Even with others at the place, they are all about the same age and I suspect a certain amount of privacy will be worked out.

I'm just having such a "Now what?" moment (insert Nemo meme here), I'm already eagerly waiting for the next act.

I loved the talk between Dumbledore and Lily, Severus needs unconditional love and from Dumbledore he needed to be seen as an equal instead of a puppet that is kept in the dark until needed. It is kind of sad that Mary and Marlene know Snape better than his supposed best friend but Lily's memories of little Sev are preventing her form seeing the young man that Severus is now. Severus isn't the little kid from Cokeworth anymore, but neither is Lily. What is important is that despite growing up, they have to prevent each other from growing apart.

I'm excited for the summer at Spinner's end, how Regulus will fare as a spy and what will happen to the Marauders. I also haven't forgotten about Snape's old wand, will he retrieve it from Ollivander?

Riddle trying to turn the basilisk into a horcrux is quite the frightening thought, Nagini seems like a kitten in comparison. Then again, a basilisk is easily taken care of as long as a rooster is around.

I wanted to ask, as Severus is studying Alchemy and Lily seems to be joining him, will Dumbledore introduce them to his friend Nicholas Flamel?
And there is something I still don't get, Nagini's bite marks have properly transferred to Severus' younger body and are noticed by everyone, but the dark mark is only a hallucination, what exactly is the difference?

Thank you for sharing this great story, it is definitely my current favorite Snily fic. I love that you're not rushing things with the two and that Lily is portrayed with her own faults. Hope to see an update from you soon until then, may life treat you well.

I like how Remus and Marlene have been forced to think about their choice of friends. That they know they can't be friends with Severus and respect that shows a great deal of restraint on your part. Too many writers take the "quick and easy" way out and end up harming organic character development.

What a clever way to give Gryffindor five or six times as many points as Slytherin got! I knew Dumbledore would be up to the challenge. I'm just surprised he didn't find a way to punish Snape somehow. But I feel that he'll find a way.

It is fun to watch Remus finally grow a spine. Now, will he keep it that way or will he give in to pack pressure?

And Regulus is going to be the spy in the well this time around, poor sod. Albus is good at this.

This chapter feels a bit rushed, compared to the rest of the story. Both Regulus/Dumbledore and Severus/Horace conversation is not what I expected at all, the shift is too sudden. Or maybe I don't understand their characters as much as I thought. But again, it was never really explained why Regulus switched sides in the end, although he was a marked death eater, so maybe he did care that much for his servant to warrant such anger.
I like Mary / Severus's friendship, and I'm looking forward to how you're gonna write Lily's redemption act lol.
