the chapter is good. loved the detective harry a lot. about the story in general, I have to say that it feels like once harry beds someone, he just looses his ability to manipulate them with words and just relies on sex. it can be a glaring problem and has already striken. daphne's stint proves that sex and whipping and all doesn't mean everything is under control. and the issue with daphne is still not resolved. I think he needs to really put his head in game and stop thinking with just his cock. or he'd really fall in a very deep pit.

Excellently written story so far. I’m impressed how, despite the smut, Harry’s partners have enough agency to significantly contribute, scheme, and alter the course of events. There are a few character decisions I disagree with (e.g. Hermione doing Harry’s homework instead of taking the stance that he shouldn’t slack on his education), but I’m happy that characters have been written to ne internally consistent within the scope of the story.

My only real complaint is that this story has set up too many threads. Although the vast majority of them are tightly linked, and will naturally resolve together, it’s a little frustrating and confusing to drop a thread for so long. It’s like jumping from treadmill to treadmill, but they’re going wildly different speeds. Harry in the past, Harry in the present, Helena and Draco at Durmstrang, Narcissa Malfoy fixing the Potter Estate, the Delacours, the Greengrasses plus their illicit business (impacted by publicity of Harry and daphne?), the Veela princess, Voldemort, Tonks and Dumbledore monitoring Harry, the DA (is that even still running?), Harry’s “sidekicks (again, is the DA still running? Are they training?), Susan Bones, securing voting blocs, Amelia Bones...

I super appreciate how alive the world feels, how many different people are operating for their own interests and within their own wheelhouses. I appreciate how relationships and alliances are affected by sex, politics, finances, philosophy, tradition, and everything else... But there is so little page space for so much content, and it can be a little overwhelming.

I remember reading a chapter which opened on Sofia, and I couldn’t even remember who she was, it had been that long since we’d last seen her. And then there was Harry in the past making moves toward the Chang family? Maybe I misinterpreted that bit with Mei receiving an owl, but I don’t remember that going anywhere. If it did, or if it does, maybe I’d never realize because the details are already hazy in my memory.

It’s a funny complaint, and maybe speaks more to me as a reader than anything about the quality of writing. “Oh no! The story is so tightly written and flows so quickly that I couldn’t help but devour it! But now I’m disappointed that I didn’t savor it!”

Lastly, if there were anything I could add or change, I’d like to see Harry retain his social skills within his sexual relationships. It feels like once he has sex with someone, he loses his ability to manipulate through conversation or politicking, and instead only has sex.

This was especially frustrating in the wake of Daphne sabotaging his relationship with Susan. I would have loved if heaware that the “wife” status was causing Daphne to act upwent to the Greengrasses and asked if the marriage contract could be ammended so he was only required to marry one of the sisters, and Daphne could be relegated to mistress status. That, and/or ask Lord Greengrass to put out a statement that there existed a marriage contract between the Potters and Greengrasses, but it was not yet determined that Daphne would be the bride, and she did herself a dishonor by assuming it would be her. Anything beyond “Anal sex isn’t working, guess I’m out of ideas,” would have been appreciated. I guess the same could be applied to Fleur, with Harry becoming strangely bad at manipulationeven simple reward structuresafter sex with someone.

Maybe it’s a lesson he hasn’t yet learned, but I hope he learns soon, because that’s one of few places that *almost* feels like poor author manipulation. I can’t exactly say it’s “inconsistent” because it *is* a pattern with all of Harry’s lovers, but it does strain my suspension of disbelief that this fairly good manipulator loses all skill with a partner after bedding them.

That was a fun read in the last few chapters Not saying the story is boring at all just more fun is all. I will stop now as keep digging myself a deeper grave lol. But you know what I mean hopefully ? Keep up with the fantastic work. Just a thought though as you wrote it so well but maybe do a Harry Potter detective cop story in the future ? As in say just a thought.
